Drove my car for the first time after spending 3 weeks in Greece driving 3/4 cylinder Diesel cars
My "old and slow" .1 GTS felt like a Mclaren F1 during the first drive. Amazing how we get used to so much feedback, torque, power, connection and handling... Had a blast driving manual Turbo diesel small cars through the streets of Athena, Thera and Crete.. but driving my car after such a break made me giddy like it was my first drive ever
Happy to be back states side, already missing the curvy roads in Greece.
Do you have clearance issues that are significantly worse than stock on speed bumps, driveways etc.?
In the four days since the car has been lowered, I haven't run into any major issues, but I do make it a point to always avoid steep driveways as I have driven lowered cars most of my driving life.
Looking good Joe, that white with gold.... classic.
Just like I had done with my Starphire pearl white Lexus before with gold LMs.
THANKS....Yah it's pretty cheap to to get do this stuff in SOCAL, they kept my car for a day, removed the wheels and tires, chemically stripped and refinished them.
Torque multiplier for Centerlock wheels: This alows you to change centerlock wheels with a standard torque wrench. No need for a breaker bars either...Not cheap @ $2,200, but I am now able to take off my wheels to swap out brake pads, change rotors, etc...a buddy and I split the cost.
Pay back is petty swift...I was having to pay $320 for 2 wheel swaps at the track....stock wheels to track wheels upon arrival at the track, then wheels back to stock for the drive home.
These have been on B.O. for quite some time; they are starting to come off back order in June.....share one with a Porsche pal.
Martin - I work pretty cheap at the track if you needed someone to lean on a big breaker bar! Well...cheap for a Porsche owner...ya know, Porsche tax and all that ;-).
Made some inroads on I staling Soul Sport headers.
got stuck at O2 sensors. They aren’t budging and I was hoping to avoid removing headers WITH O2 attached but it looks like I have no choice.
crows foot O2 tool isn’t working , no place for leverage. Tried PB blaster.

going to be an interesting evening after work.
The last time I had stuck O2 on my 997, I tried a torch. I used a regular Butane torch from Home depot, the ones that you would use for home copper pipe repairs. Heat it, cool it, heat it, cool it, PB blast it. You could also run the car to get it hot, but then you would be working in a hot environment. That worked for me to get mine out.
