Per the recommendation on this thread, i picked up 2 maxi cosi Rodifix seats. They fit perfectly - almost as if they were made to fit the back seats of a 991. Install was a breeze and once installed there is no movement of the seat. Its very rigid with the latch connection. My 4 and 5 year old fit perfectly with plenty of leg room and we don't have to move the front seats forward.
Looking to snag a booster seat for my 5 year old. Anyone confirm that the rear seats in the 991 cab are the same as the coupe? I have a 2015 TTS cab.
I just grabbed a Peg Perego Viaggio Flex 120 after measuring or testing a variety of others. This is the only one I found that fits easily, and I love the quality of it.

From a safety perspective, you want the seat to be reclined. The problem is the rear seat backs are very upright. By the time the base of the car seat is placed on the seat cushion, theres not much room to recline the child seat. Furthermore, the rear windshield is very low as well.
I ended up removing the rear seats temporarily (until my son fits in a booster seat. It gives a lot more room for the seat to be placed securely with plenty of room to recline the seat. It took me 15 minutes so its super easy to do and I highly recommend it from a safety perspective. Heres some pictures before/after:

That looks like it could be reclined too far for the forward-facing position? I immediately thought about race cars (I tell my son he has a "race-car seat" ); how harnesses distribute the force across the body; and what the body does in a crash. It looks like your son would submarine into the crotch belt, the pelvis would absorb the brunt of the force, and then the spine compresses as he slides down in the seat.
I totally agree about removing either one or both rear seat backs for a better fit for a full booster seat or 5 point carseat. You can still use the rear hook and the LATCH points. It feels much safer because the seat backs are not a thing which can move and the angle is much better.
In my case I only removed the back, not the seat. It was fine for the seat I was using and less involved.
The only downside is that you don't have a proper back seat if you do need one.
i have this. i have the isofix mount optioned on my front seat so my 5year old can use this seat and ride shotgun with me. works great. its alittle bulky for back seat though (the armrest is a bit wide for the rear bucket) so if my daughter needs to seat back seat i use the cosco non-latch booster

If you need a booster for the rear seat area of the 991, you can try my solution. The Clek Ollie will fit perfect and look factory if you remove the arm rests. It fits snugly and doesn't make any noise when occupied. Latches perfectly using the LATCH/Isofix mounts. My 5 y/o loves his.
Great thread, I am going to need a seat for my daughter who is 3 and not heavy, under 30lbs. So it needs to be a front facing seat and not a booster. I read through the threads and most of the seats suggested are no longer made/out of production (EDIT: 2 added below that are still in production). Is there a front facing seat currently that fits with the back rests in? If not , any suggestions on good seats where I have to remove the back rest (have the one from this page below).

I got it in the number 2 position so it reclines more. It works with number 1 just as well. The seat is very light weight and simple compared to radian.
