Us wayb users need to put our heads together and figure out how to extend th crotch buckle. I was looking thru Alibaba to see if I could find the same male/female connecters to homebrew my own extension
agreed on this. Got one for my 2 year old son and the crotch belt is def tight already
I ended up pulling the seat bottoms and seat backs to get more space and to remove the risk of creased fabric/cushions etc after years of having car seats installed.
I did eventually switch the convertible seat to passenger side as I did end up needing the extra space.
Fitment is great on the Maxi Cosi Rodi Fix - Fixed back booster seen on the left.
. Maxi Cosi Pria 85 max on the other hand, its a little wider so it does rub but I think that will be with any convertible car seat.
after reading through this thread i feel a little more confused lol. i'm looking for a forward facing car seat for a fat 2.5 year old. i dont want to remove the seat back or cushions if possible. what do you guys recommend? thanks

moxi cosi pria max 85 fits fine. You can see some people used it. Removing the back seat cushion aids in getting the seat at a proper angle and gives clearance for your passenger seat.
We've outgrown our Maxi Cosi for our 991, and it may be going to @Petevb (?), but been wondering about head/neck protection for little ones in the back seat. Liking that Pico wayb for that reason. Also been looking at a very thin Volvo center-seat booster with a high headrest and seatbelt locator from our old XC60. Curious for others' thoughts.
If you are looking for a high back booster, the hi-fold booster is perfect for the 991.2
It has so many ways to adjust!

50 LB is about the average weight for an 8 year old, at which point they could sit in normal seat without booster. A kid could be as heavy as 70-80LB by 8 though.
Those seats seem like a good fit in the car with no removal of seat backs or base. I do have some concerns about how safe or comfortable they are though. They wont work with a 1 - 2 year old, but Pria 85 does, which is important because infant seats are outgrown by around 1 year. Pria also has 2 settings (nice reclined and decent semi-reclined) and is way more supportive/comfortable. Both are really light...not sure about Pria spec, but its very light weight picking it up.
IMO fitment wise, I think Pico wins. Pia 85 wins on usability, safety, and comfort IMO.
We have a 2nd baby (6 month old atm) and I found that you can put Nuna Pipa seat rear facing in front seat. Air bag automatically turns off. Owners manual recommends under 1 year old to be rear facing front seat and 1+ year old in rear. Getting a infant rear facing seat in back isn't realistic and makes front passenger seat unable anyways. Can't carry a wife, 2 year old, and 6 month old in this car, but I can could get up to 3 kids + no wife if needed.

How does front front airbag auto turn off if there's an infant seat on it? Aren't these sensors weight sensitive?
Yea basically there is weight sensor in passenger seat that triggers to turn on the passenger airbags. If there isn't enough weight in seat, the passenger airbag are off automatically and a light indicates that in homelink console. When driving around alone, the light is on indicating passenger airbags are off. Idk the weight required and manual says 'up to 1 year old'. I know it doesn't trigger with a 6 month old + Nuna Pipa carseat strapped down pretty hard using seatbelt (passes through loops in carseat without the base). I also had it trip when seat had like 4 gallons of water.
