Default Child seat fitment in 991.1 GTS

Hi
I am looking to get a larger child seat for my 5 year old son. I'm looking to buy the Porsche Junior Plus Seat (955-044-805-91). Suncoast says the seat fits my 2016 991 however Sunset Porsche says it does not fit. Anyone have this seat in their 991?

Thanks!

There are quite a few threads on this - I'm still trying to find the right seats for mine:

I have not tried the Porsche Junior Seat. However, I use the Maxi Cosi RodiFix Booster seat for my son and he just turned six. It fits perfect in my 991.2. As a side note, if you don't go with the Porsche seat, you have to be careful about booster seats in the 991. Not all booster seats have a narrow enough bottom to fit plush in the back seat:-)

Default Car Seat

HI,
I have a 991.1 GTS convertible and installed the Porsche 955 044 805 91 car seat. My daughter is a peanut. Fits perfectly - WITHOUT a bulky winter coat. If you put a heavy winter coat on the child - do not use this seat. She basically doesn't fit in the car seat. I am not the most mechanically or technically intelligent so maybe there is a fix - I certainly haven't found it (nor looked for it). My answer is drive my daily truck and wait for warm weather. Hope this helps. The seat fits perfectly in the back seat area. This may not be shocking news but there is not a lot of room for a passenger and your child in the car seat. Its doable but not ideal.

Perfect. Fitment looks great. Thanks for your feedback.

+1 for the Maxi Cosi--looks and fits like it was made for the back of my '15 991 GTS, minus the Porsche crest symbol....

How much depth do you lose? I just picked up the Cosco seat base only booster for my 6 year old, but might prefer a a full back if it doesn’t steal too much leg room by pushing his back away from the actual seat back.

When you place the car seat in, it sits almost flush with the edge of that tiny back seat. With my seated position (I'm only 5'6"), my son has plenty of room for his legs. However, the room might get a bit tight depending on your height and also how you like your driver's seat position.

+1, the Maxi Cosi was perfection in my 991—though it didn't get that much use and spent most of its time in the front trunk. That and a Porsche seat will both be going up for sale shortly, as my little one no longer needs them...

I use a travel booster for my 5 year old. Works great and can replace if need be. There are little seat belt holders that make for a very snug fit.

I just purchased a 991.2 C4S convertible and am looking to see if my current 5 point front facing seats will install well. I see the 991.2 convertibles have the LATCH system on the bottom part of the seats in the rear, but does it have the latch near the headrest for the top connection of the seat?

I use that seat but have no sliding issues. As long as the lap belt goes under those two arms (not sure what to call them) on either side of the seat, it stays just fine IMO. We only have two family cars, a 991.1 and a 964 cab, we turned in my wife's lease on the GLE43 two months ago so we use these booster seats every day in both of those cars with no issues.
