Well, this's is one heck of a party here, 6402 posts, not bad! Always enjoyed reading the Rennlist topics, top notch, no BS, true enthusiasts....

OK, that's enough of the sucking up......Been chasing the calling of the 991 sirens for the past few months, which led me to this thread. Basically narrowed it down to couple of horses, GTS/TurboS/4S. Were I was coming up a bit short is getting/finding the proper options to make the car somewhat special- as far as a mass produced car can be. No disrespect, everyone that's been under my watch has truly been a thrill, absolutely no regrets.

Looking forward to joining up with the members and see what we can come up with to help with my therapy.....BTW, a friend has a C2S, which I've driven (hard)...thought that all the electronics would kill the Porsche goodness, not even close, plus the air works!

Cheers

Most guys here are looking for their dream car and tend to keep them longer. Sometimes!! Or just upgrade to another 991.1
I like to open a fresh one each day

It's been great looking through this thread, and now I've got the bug again. I've had three 997 versions of the 911: C2S, C4S, and T4S. Thinking about taking the plunge for a 991.1. Here is my wish list: coupe, manual tranny, sport exhaust, sport chrono, PASM, PDCC. Less than 30k miles. I tend to like unusual colors (I've had Murano Green and Nordic Gold), but my C4S was Meteor Gray. So, I'm open as to color. I'd like to keep the cost under $85k, but would consider going higher for the "perfect" 911. Am I going to be frustrated and window shopping for a long time in your opinion?

I don't think you will be, except for the unusual color part. That may make your hunt a bit more challenging...

Not a great price (yet) but a great black-on-black build.

Manual, PSE + SC, full black leather, heated + ventilated seats. 14-way seats with premium pkg. Bose.

$89,995 from MSRP $128,000 at 8500 miles, CPO.

shouldn't be too hard. I recently picked up a '13CS with 26k CPO, PDK, SPASM, PDCC, SE, full leather and more for $77k

Sounds pretty good. I would like full leather too as all my previous 911s have had that extra touch. But, that would again narrow the options.

No, as long as you're open to colors. Not likely to find a PTS (Paint to Sample) one, but there's all sorts of the other standard offerings and even a few unique colors out there.

We see cars like you describe very often. Many of which have gone to HFS followers over the past (soon to be) 2 years.

Nice to know. I had avoided the 997 forum, and this one too, for quite a while to avoid being tempted. So, I was unaware of this thread. It's a great idea.

Now that you've discovered it, there's no getting away. Ask all the other guys who are hooked. Even after they find a car!
