Another CarMax 991... 2014 991 S WP0AB2A90ES121789
$123K Sticker
$79 Ask
9K Miles
1 owner, clean carfax
in LA
White over black, black glass sunroof, PDK, Sport Chrono, Sport Exhaust, Sport PASM, Sport Design wheels. As with all Carmax cars, interesting if it looks like a 9K mile one-owner car should, but often there a bit rougher than you would expect.
Carmax car looks like it already went under reservation. But that doesn't mean much. Might pop back out of reservation 2-3 times before it is actually sold... It takes zero cash and nothing but a mouse click to put a car into "Sorry, This car can not be reserved" status.
Carmax 2014 is back to available as of 10:48MST... Put it on hold quick if you are at all interested!
Pictures are up as well, though there pretty crappy pictures. Evidently this one took too much spoiler viagra as well...
Looks like the Carmax car is another candidate for the Botched Badge Club:
lol yep - also.... I know these wheels aren't the most desirable. I got them on my car and had planned on going aftermarket. They look much better in person and now they are my favorite; they'll grow on you.
Regardless, car looks fairly clean and well taken care of as long as hasn’t been in any accidents.
This day and age, it’s very frustrating not having access to the previous owner and detailed info on the car. Sometimes, you can’t trust what the previous owner says anyway. Still, it’s always some big mystery on the history. Guys feel better knowing as much as they can about pre-owned cars. At least we have CarFax these days. Part of the pre-owned experience and getting great deals I suppose.
At least HFS has helped quite a bit tracking these cars and having some history on many of them.
Lol I thought the exact same thing about the Sport Design wheels on my first 991S (even bought snow tires on Carrera S wheels with the idea of swapping them out some day). But over time they grew on me and I really liked them!

That was for sale at i believe Porsche of Nashua about 6 or 7 weeks ago i think 86k. Middleman trying to mark it up!
Are you sure this is the same one? I had an offer but he said he wouldn't go below 90K. Wife said to walk so we did.
I know P of N had a Sapphire Blue C2 back in Aug for 70,899. I tried to work a deal but they didn't budge and said it was going to auction the following week.
Fast forward to now and look what AT pulled up. Now it's up 78,880 and slathered with Armor All
I'm almost positive as they also had a saph. blue c2 manual which sold the past couple weeks and was there right as the S was sold. I don't think Holt lists a carfax, but i'm positive that is the car. I think Flemington in Jersey has a blue manual c2 but it's a fairly low optioned car.
Here is the build on the CarMax White 2014 C2S. Here are my thoughts. It's interesting that it does have the no-cost 911 designation option, but it looks odd. Maybe because I never saw that option. So that's not an issue for me.
Compared to what I like about the my CPO 2015 C2S, this one does lack Leather Interior, but Porsches standard interior materials are not shabby. It does have that ugly MF steering wheel with no paddles, which everyone wants with PDK. But the offensive MF steering wheel can probably be replaced for somewhere just north of $1500. It also has the Power Steering Plus that most Porsche people don't want, but which I think could be software deleted for a relatively small cost. The warranty expires in 11 days if bought tomorrow, so that's a negative. AutoCheck does not show maintenance, so a potential buyer needs to check with CarFax or his local Porsche service shop, to see the maintenance history for this particular VIN.
Having said all that, it has a clean AutoCheck and seems like a diamond in the rough, coming from CarMax with less 9k miles on it. It is likely going to make somebody very happy for a long time, for a cost in the upper $70s. So, I'm voting for it to be HOT FOR SALE! That's HFS!!! with that asking price of $79k! If somebody here is looking and interested, I recommend they hurry on this one. It's likely that diamond...

It's not that it has the alternate 911 rear badging, it's that the alignment doesn't look right. Actually, not even close... The P O R S C H E letters are too close together and the 911 is WAY to close together and the completely wrong angle. Plus the space between the two lines is again way off. At least the got the spelling right and it isn't a P O R C H E
I would not be at all surprised if this car had some significant paintwork. Carfax typically only gets notified if there is a police report. Owner backs into a pole and brings it to his local body shop? No carfax entry... And if it WAS repair/paintwork, a shop that does that crappy of a job with the badging definitely can't be trusted in the paint quality.
Compared to my similar CPO 2015 C2S, the only negatives I see are the lack of Sport Chrono, no CPO, and it has about double the mileage of mine, while still being realistically low mileage. Sapphire Blue is gorgeous, but it could use some blue seatbelts, and that certainly is not a deal changed/breaker. Can't check the build because they do not show the VIN. I didn't see a CarFax either. So if the CarFax accident and maintenance history check out OK, I'd say it is a desirable car - HFS! - One more thought - Most used Porsche dealers like this will not touch a car with any history negatives. So if it can be had in the mid to upper $80s, this one is very likely Hot Hot HFS!!

This is how the carmax rear bumper/badging looks:
This is how it should look:
then I am going to agree with you that something is out of whack. This deserves very close inspection. Maybe only the rear bumper cover was replaced. Maybe more. Paint thickness readings all around the car would be useful...
