What! Are we reaching the point of Macan saturation?

Seems to be the case. Tough segment there. There goes the huge year over year growth #'s. The 4cy Macan might not be breaking sales records. Sure ain't making it up with sports cars.

Will be interesting how the ONE BILLION $ Mission E investment goes. Think it may be a big disappointment You know, everyone wants those electric cars. Like anyone is making $$ selling them. Not ....

Wait until Tesla implodes. Anyway, back to scheduled programming.

Keep in mind, 2018 certification delays have mucked all the numbers up. But even so, I was told by a dealer (take it as you will) that Porsche is pulling allocations for base Macan's this Q, and giving more to the S models, to balance out supply. Porsche is reaching a dangerous point with the Macan where a bunch of $50K VW powered 4 cylinders running around can start to sacrifice brand cachet (which is what has made Porsche the richest/highest margin car company in existence). Imo a lot of Macan numbers going forward may have more to do with product output management than actual interest in
the vehicle. Porsche are masters at walking an extremely fine, extremely calculated line.

That car was at Tom Wood last year for 3 months, marked down to $67k, CPO, and still didn't sell, they sent it to Ultimo to clear it out. It had far fewer miles then.

HFS? It's a decently priced car at low 60's. My buddy sold his 2013 C2S Aerokit with 12k miles, fully loaded $128k build, for only $72,000 last fall. This is a similar car, only with a worse color (RY instead of black), no PSE, and higher mileage (his was pristine), and a base instead of a C2S.

Most people would pay an extra $10 for the C2S alone, never mind the other items mentioned.

Nothing wrong with a "base" 991; I would happily own one. I wouldn't pay more than around $60k for a base 991.1 however.

Considering the amount of base 2013's and 2014's asking $69K out there (with ho hum options), prices seem to be all over the place. Who knows what these things are actually selling for, but I can say those $69K cars dealers wouldn't budge much on when I was inquiring a month or so ago.

991.1 prices seem to have risen this year (they certainly didn't go down). I was calling about C2S's far less enticing than your friends and most weren't budging from prices well higher than $72K. I found one 2012.5 which didn't have aerokit or warranty which was the cheapest C2S I found at the time ($72.9K asking) but also $128K MSRP, and they sold it for over $71K in less than a few days. Most similar cars to that one seem to be thousands more.

Anyone have a sales person contact at Porsche of Nashville? I'm trying to buy a car and the gentlemen who took my original inquiry apparently isn't trying to sell one. Thanks.

The aqua blue car? Gorgeous build. Sorry I don't have a contact there, but best of luck! If my 987.2 Spyder was sold already, I would have been a competing buyer

Yup, been an interesting 991 market this last year. Was cleaning out some files over the weekend and was reminded of this car I looked at almost exactly 1 year ago...

This is a flashback, not a currently available car! Sept. 28th, 2016
2012.5 991 S
Black over Luxor Beige
$116.5K Sticker
$65K Ask
32K miles
CPO till 03/18
2-owner, clean carfax
PDK, SC, Full leather, 14-ways, etc.
It was a super clean, local, private sale car. Exact same car today? Anything under $70K would probably be considered a good deal! Seller would have likely taken $63K.

I got my '14 C4 base car 11 months ago (bought 11/5/2016 for 65k even (38k miles) with a CPO until Dec 2019. Car had a 118k window sticker. I put have put 10k miles on it since, and I still can't find one today for under 70. Even mainheim is showing an average of 66k in there these days. According to manheim a year ago the average was 62k. Sideways to up for older 991.1's. I feel like a stole my car at this point.

At first I really wanted a 997.2 C4S and they were almost the exact same price as the 991.

Interesting data. Where are you finding this data? What is the source? And do you have a sample size for each of the time windows you are looking at? That would help me understand the data better.
