HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991
A 991 for 5Xk is always a good thing, but at 35k off / 34% off for a 5 yr old car with 17k miles, IMHO it does not compare with deals seen here in terms of "hotforsalishness".
Base models are less hot because they depreciate less...

While price is definitely an element, 'hot' builds are equally important.
And clean carfax histories.
And reputable dealers.
And clean cosmetics.
And clean PPI's, no mechanical issues.
And of course, no botched badge jobs!
That said, there is a price for every car...

Really a unique 4 GTS CAB with Sport Design Package with a MANUAL. I'm not a huge cab guy, but this one looks too nice not to post.
Was ordered with the Turbo S wheels as well.

I thought HFS was more about simply a good price on a 991 not requiring a certain package to qualify.
Been wanting to ask this for a while, but I finally stepped into a 911 and was wondering if I got a good deal. Did I manage to get a HFS or simply meh? A stripper model but it came up when I was looking at getting a 997.2 C2S, test drove it, and liked it. I checked on the manheim site and it was basically dealer auction price.
2012.5 991.1 c2 cpo
16,800 miles
$56,000
I wish it had pasm/sc but after the drive... I realized that I didnt really need those options, the base c2 is really good already.

I think you did great, especially in the recent ULTRA hot 991.1 market... $56K for a very low mile 991.1 base is about as cheap as I've seen. Was this recent or before the spring feeding frenzy began?
Post details and pictures up in the 'HFS Alumni' thread!

STG can chime in as HFS is really his baby, but in my perspective, 'Hot' does not simply refer to an attractively priced car.
While price is definitely an element, 'hot' builds are equally important.
And clean carfax histories.
And reputable dealers.
And clean cosmetics.
And clean PPI's, no mechanical issues.

Got it the last day of Feb '16... was ready to fly down to FL that weekend to move on a 997.2 C2S that was going for around the same price but 2x the mileage.
Saw a local listing at the dealership for the 991, stopped by at lunch, and they said they would knock 2k off the price if I took it the next day to hit their target for the month. Also threw in the 40k/4yr service and changed all the fluids (oil/brake fluid/pdk).
Clean carfax, perfect paint/interior, 2 owner, and all service records through the dealership.
I didnt think I could find a better deal in that price range... I was pretty dead set on the 997 because of the steering feel but I figured the deal was too good to pass up.
I'll post up some pics once I get some decent ones

Hmmmmm ... we are getting good here at tracking cars... I posted his car on 6-8-16 when it was for sale at a Lexus dealer almost a year ago for $10K cheaper. This "mechanical warranty" must be a third party one.

Give me credit, I had found that one. An outstanding HFS find. The current seller may have seen it listed here.

2013 C2S Cab
Original MSRP $135k
Miles - 29,750
Lots of goodies - 7MT, SC, PSE, Burmester, Full leather and more
CPO
Bought for $74k.
I know the higher miles contributed to the lower price, but I don't mind. It's a third car for me so I'll run out of CPO warranty long before miles.
