Just reserved the carmax one.
I know most people here never liked carmax cars, but in the shortage of manual options I am willing to see in person and check out the car.

Its 1 owner, has ALL the options I wanted. The color is OK for me, I know a lot of people are fans of the Agate gray, but I was looking for something more live. But 911S Manual+PSE+SC and near my location trumps color choice. specially after 6 months looking for the unicorn to appear.

The car will arrive in my location next week, will keep the thread posted if the car was good or not.

That's awesome, hope it ends up being nice for you. Glad it went to a fellow Rennlister. And I happen to think Agate is a pretty nice color.

I am trying to just be a follower here, but this car checks not only all my boxes and even more than I was looking for. Carfax doesn't show much, but miles are pretty low and it looks good in pictures.

Let us know how it checks out! I thought about it for a few minutes as well (even before it was posted on HFS), just too busy right now to deal with out-of-town cars.

Looks like a nice config, pretty much everything I am looking for except full leather. Seems like a very decent price for a 2014 that likely just came out of warranty, and damn, it's hard to find nice manuals.

One owner. Hopefully you'll get lucky and it will be super clean! Be sure to look it over carefully though, Carmax does sometimes does some pretty sloppy reconditioning if any was needed.

Personally, Agate is one of my favorite colors. While nothing beats freshly detailed black or dark blue paint, but Agate looks good for more than five minutes after washing... Looks great even when a bit dirty!

Seems like a good find and a great build. Knock off a few thousand and as a cab owner I think you'd have an HFS deal for sure.

Agreed, that car at 69k would be a steal.

You guys are really tough. That cab is an amazing build - manual, full leather, sport exhaust, Burmester, 18 way seats, sport chrono, good miles, clean Carfax and you are worried about $2000. Walk into that dealer and I would bet you could probably negotiate a little bit off their asking price but I would never let $2K make a difference for a great car.

^^^ what Jerry said. Only issues are no warranty and no maintenance records.

No records is a concern and it is very hard to tell from the pictures what the condition is like. The pictures are very bright to really tell.

I was coming out of a supercharger S4, so I was initially not impressed with the 911 because I was short shifting.

+1. Don't miss out on a car that has everything you want, PLUS even more options!

Leather interior awesome, and well worth paying an extra $2k versus losing the car to someone else.

Edit to add: Put a deposit on the car and get a RL'er to check it out. I have checked out local cars for out-of-area buyers.

Re: 991 values - a dealer told me Porsche is cutting sports car allocations 10% (!) as they increase Macan allocations.
And there will be no new Cayennes for 8 months while the factory retools for the next generation and eProject.
This dealer is in the process of more than doubling their store size, so allocations are a huge deal. They are grabbing all the new Porsche inventory they can get, including demos and exec cars, and willing to sell them for no gain because it increases their future allocations. Allocations are everything for a growing dealership.

I personally always go and see a car in person that is out of warranty. On the plus side it's a one owner car from the carfax, but at minimum i'd hire someone to do ppi.

When I Bought my Macan Turbo in the Fall of 2015, Gene McClure was my sales guy. Jim Ellis is now Atlanta Perimeter. Gene was great to work with and was a service tech there for years, so he knows Porsches.

Chad Pierce is a great guy, now in Sales but was a Tech at same dealer for over 10 years. Worked with him recently and highly recommend.
