I spoke with the GM of my local dealer yesterday and he explained to me how difficult it is for dealers to get cars these days. Porsche is pushing production for European cars because of new emission rules taking effect at some point plus they are pushing production for high end cars like GT3s, etc. He tried to get a base car for a customer and he didn't think he could get one before the 992s come out so he had to trade with another dealer for one. So it is possible that dealers are playing hardball with new cars that they have and therefor are giving less on trades.

Quite the opposite. If they don't have cars to supposedly sell, you'd think they'd be as aggressive as possible getting pre-owned inventory. That's fine, let the indy dealers get the business. I hear from many guys getting really low ball offers. Like insulting offers. Anyway, that's their problem. Buyers should just look where they can get the best deal.

My opinion. Not all of them, but a higher percentage. Many dreamers, never ending shoppers, and guys just looking for a unicorn deal.
This was 100% my experience, so much so that I simply kept the car. Fielded endless phone calls and emails from people who completely wasted my time. The best were the guys who'd call, pretend to be serious buyers, ask for additional pictures, etc, and then after a whole dog and pony show would offer $10K-$15K below asking price. Like lower than dealer trade in. Until recently I never understood why anyone would hand over a $70K car to a dealer for $60K. But selling a high-end car is such a nightmare that I can totally see why some people would in effect spend several thousand dollars to avoid it. Toss the keys to the dealer, sign some papers, and you're done.

^^^^ Said it before on another threads, I just give to a local dealer who works on consignment. He will give me an opinion on the market and we agree on how long he can keep the car. The sweet middle ground, assuming you are not in a hurry to sell.

Slim pickings from Porsche dealerships that are CPO and meet my criteria.

This is one so far: WP0AB2A98CS120919

2012.5 Platinum Silver with PDK, SC, Burmester and CPO. Asking $72,900, 16,200 miles

NOTE: Looks like it is CPO of a car that has already been CPO once before.

# of total .1's for sale has gone down quite a bit since mid winter. Really having a hard time finding something outstanding to post. Prices aren't skyrocketing or anything, but hard to find nice builds though.

A lot of cars in $90K-$100K+ range. Seems like sweet spot still seems to be the $80K's for a nice low mileage one.

I know a 2017, but crazy Gary is still at it

What is he thinking??? He's actually serious. Sent him some emails last year.

They can barely give away these sticker job Endurance Editions. It baffles me how nuts some people are.

When you have "over 6000 hits" without a reasonable offer, maybe your definition of reasonable is not reasonable.

He's no collector. He's threatening to drive it this summer

I had offered him like $200K as a joke a while back and he said no!!

You can get like $20K off these ones new. Oh, he has the only manual!! Go buy a 911R for that price.

I'd be willing to pay normal C2S market price minus the cost of someone removing the limited edition decals
