What a beautiful color combo, congrats! This one is one of my favorites of the more recent HFSs.

Hey STG
Are the deals being posted getting pricier? Has the market moved up and according raised the bar of a HFS? The last two vehicles posted seems to me to be "Not so Hot" For Sale picks but it is what it is. Usually December through February should be a time for Super HFS. Must be the confidence buyers and sellers have with the current economic climate. Just an observation.
Thanks for posting what is out there. I appreciate you time (and your passion).

^^^ Busy morning. Overall, the market is very tight with available cars at their lowest point I've ever seen. I addressed this topic a few months back.
My cars.com search for example, is ONLY showing less than 500 pre-owned 991.1 S/4S/GTS variants. That's insane. Cars.com covers most of the listings. Say that there's another 500 cars out there not on the site, that leaves us with what, 1,000 cars?? Slim pickings.
As a comparison, there's probably around 200 pre-owned 991.1 GT3's out there. That's for a model that sold only what, around 3,000 units total in the US?
*** At this point I'm just posting HIGH quality cars (as always) at current market prices. *** I've still been finding the "HOT" ones, but not as many ***
Cars right now are going for more than a year ago. There are still some "HOT" deals out there but not as many. Can't just post 3-4 cars a month. Even with the uptick in pricing and lower supply, these other cars are still relative good deals.
There a quite a few factors at play here. Some economic good & bad and them being the "last of" the NA's. Many current 991.1 owners are staying put and holding onto their cars. Many believe there's nothing better to trade up to, so they're keepers.
Overall this >>> Demand for pre-owned 991.1's is greater than the supply hitting the market.
Like was said "it is what it is".

Higher optioned models that are 75+ up seem to be available, but maybe have higher miles for the same price. Very low miles mean premium asked.
Doesn't seem to be limited to 991 cars. For example the market has been wiped clean of 987 Boxster Spyders (the manual roof spyder) right after the election. So I think what we are seeing is that people held back buying in the uncertainty before the election. The higher priced 981 Spyders seem to get cheaper with age as they should (which means going on 90,000 now). The price segment from $50,000 to $70,000 seems to be what people have been scooping up lately.

This one is not as bare-bone as it looks. 14-way seats and premium package plus. Bose.
Looks more like Aqua Blue in that light.
ETA: I will never understand how Porsche managed to make these "Ferrari-Style" wheels with 5-double spokes with gap in between in a way that looks ugly. Even Mercedes executed that design better.

Cars at 50K range open the buying base to a much wider demographic so these cars will go fast simply because they are obtainable by a much greater number of people.
I would guess the chart looks something like this with regards to obtainability and people that can afford[or justify]:
50K = 1000 People
60K = 600 People
70K = 300 People
80K = 100 People
90K = 25 People
100+ = 5 People
The higher priced cars only have so many people that have the means to obtain.

The $65-$80K segment is hot. Guys there want a great pre-owned car at a price where they're getting a lot for their money. Pretty much >> "champagne taste on a beer budget".
The new cars at that price range don't give you as much car.
One thing I will say is that there's an economic bubble that's been floating around for a while. You even see the craziness carried over to real estate, business lending, car buying, run up in prices, etc. When that corrects, you will see big adjustment on the upper end $150K ++ cars, over MSRP asking prices, etc. Even our beloved 991.1's will soften. Many people and businesses are very leveraged and things could topple quick if something drastic should arise economically.
