It is not an S, has no SC and no PSE. It is definitely not a driver's car and the color is something to either love or hate. That being said, with an MSRP of nearly $120k you are getting a 50% discount albeit there is the high mileage factor. Definitely one of the lower priced 991.1s I've seen, but I would personally pass on this car.
Thoughts on this one? I know it's not an S, but does have sport chrono.

If it were near me, I'd definitely go look at it for a comparison.

I haven't seen that color in person and am curious about what it looks like. It'll give me something to do tomorrow.. :-)
I know we've already beat this one to death, but just noticed that price has been dropped another $11K now to $88,613. MSRP $170K.

The car was previously mentioned in HFS in November, also at Carmax. Went under reservation very quickly, and evidently just came back out of reservation yesterday. Went back under reservations again very quickly (anyone here?). Once a car goes under hold or is being transferred at Carmax, the price goes away on the web site. I captured the info below when I first noticed the car yesterday.
This exemplifies some of the reasons we like folks to list more than just a link... If Rockchalk had listed some basic info about the car, like model, year, vin and asking price, things would have been much clearer.
But back to the car... It does sound like a good deal for $59K, a 2013 C4 PDK SC car with 26K miles, but the fact that at least one other person had it shipped in or put on hold and then passed on it isn't a great sign that the car is in nice condition. Might be a gem, might not.

I'll say again that one BIG flaw with the Carmax search system is that if you set up a search for a specific type/model/whatever car on their system, it will email you ONLY when the car first enters their inventory...
If the car goes under reservation, it will NOT email you again if it is released from hold without purchase. Other than checking manually every single day (and even multiple times a day), there is no way to know if this car comes back into available status and trying to catch it before it goes under hold again. Even the sales reps say they have no way of being notified if, for example, this particular car doesn't sell to whomever placed it under reservation, nor can they tell (or wont say) where the car is being shipped to so you might follow up with the location that will be receiving the car.. Also, if you manually search and sort by new arrivals, a car that came off hold after being transferred shows by the original inventory date, so it might be near the bottom of the list even though it was originally available only for a few hours and just became available a month later just a few hours ago...
Really doesn't affect any cars Carmax sells except for cars like these that we have lots of hungry people constantly searching for, so I doubt that Carmax will ever fix the limitation.
One other 'bug' with the carmax system... It doesn't update instantly, some delay before it updates car status. Even if it lets you place a car on hold or request a transfer through the website, someone else might still have beaten you to it.

Yea, what he ^ said. It was obviously reserved by someone earlier today. I saw it yesterday and wished it was close to my location, to take a look at it in person.
I did look at the Mahogany Cab this morning, and it is a nice car. Very nice condition overall, all the books are in the glove box and from the Carfax (yes, Carfax) report I read, it seems to be a one owner.
Sold by a local Calif Bay Area dealer originally. The interior is like new, the exterior shows very well, only one very small scratch about 1/2 in long that's been buggered up by touch-up paint,
at the the rear bumper edge near the drivers side taillight. But unless you look right at it, you probably wouldn't notice it. I saw it on my third go around.
Here are a few pics I took this morning, other pics are on Carmax's website. The paint is in very good shape. This is the best looking Carmax car I've seen in almost a year of searching...

This one is less than 2 miles from my home, so if anybody is interested, I can easily eyeball it for you...

The VIN on the car is WP0AA2A93DS107404 and the listing price was $59K.

Somewhat tangential to this topic, but thought this would be a good place to ask. What's a fair price for a 2015 911 GTS, original MSRP of ~$139,000. Comes with CPO and around 10k miles.
