I don't know that the price is super hot, but the build sure is nice!

Are you sure that this is Rhodium?

Even the build sheet you posted lists the color as Platinum...

Help our friend beaverlake. He's been with HFS since day one! Amazing.

Anyway, he posted a thread asking for input on the buying process for an article he's doing for his local PCA chapter.

Give him your input please!

While STG is busy, I'll post this car, FSBO:

2013 C4S, White over Natural Red. Aerokit Cup too!

I think it's been on sale for awhile. Opportunity for negotiation...

Probably be sold if the interior isn't red. The full red probably takes 90% of buyers out of the equation...

no doubt. its tough on the eyes. Im a bit taken back by the resale market of these cars. Is it because Porsche requires you to pay for almost everything as an option? heated seats, nav, stitching, you name it and its an additional option. Adds $20K to the car easy on average and you get nothing for it if you trade it in.

I would imagine as values continue to drop and MSRP's continue to rise eventually people will shop elsewhere. No?

Here's another nice FSBO:

This one is an Aqua Blue, C2S, 3-pedal.

Original owner went to town on the options list (SPASM, Sport Chrono, PSE, Sportdesign package with ducktail, and Burmester):

being a private sale doesn't help. I almost never bother to sell my cars private party anymore; I just pay the dealer $2500 in consignment, and they usually get way more over what I could get selling it on my own.

Buying from a private party can be tough: I tried that initially when I was looking for a C2S, swung and whiffed on 3 cars. The first person just disappeared (I was going to schedule a PPI and he just stopped communicating): the 2nd had a car that was a bit worse for the wear than advertised (when checked out by a fellow RL'er) and the 3rd I had also scheduled a PPI when the seller decided to keep the car. It was a lot of wasted time. Then again, that was on cars.com: I would feel much better about buying a car listed here on the classified; much smaller chance of flaky sellers.

That Aqua Blue is a beautiful example, but $90k sounds kinda high, even with the loaded options.

What do you all think this is worth? High $70k?

That's a good ballpark. Saw a very similar car, with PDK, sell at a dealer locally for $82,500, but it had 12k miles. Probably $76k private party, plus a $2k premium for mileage? $90k is just a hail mary though.

It is nicely optioned with low miles, but is not CPO. I think low 80s would be fair.
