Thanks!
For all you new guys, gbree's "hot for sale" find and story should be an inspiration for all. Keep those searches up and be patient. Many guys learn the ropes here which also helps them make great educated buys.

Great story and congrats STG on the number one thread. Hope to join you all soon, assuming I can escape the 997 GT3 bug that has (re) stung me I guess a 991 would still be a very nice comfortable companion to that car.

Hello all, this is one of my first posts on RL but I have been following the brand for a number of years as my brother has been a 911 owner for the past 8 years. I have found myself lurking for a while, especially on this thread and I'm finally contemplating my first Porsche. I saw this GTS posted a few pages back and I'm curious what a fair price would be with CPO. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Looks awesome though! Nice options!

this car is local to me. Very nice build. It was a local trade in on a turbo and it has been sitting there for a while. Close to 3 months I believe. They initially had it listed for 135k with CPO, but then lowered the price by taking the CPO off. Then lowered another 5k. It has a lot of carbon fiber bits that make the price pretty high. 139 msrp I believe. No SPASM. They are the only porsche dealer in Austin and aren't known for striking the best deals.

I would demand a CPO for another 2yrs warranty. I think this car should be selling for $120K with a CPO. I wouldn't pay more. The red interior is hurting it, and if it was a manual it would be an easier sell.
Drive it another 4K miles, and you'd be lucky to get $100K on it as a trade in from the same dealer 6 months later. A lot of quick downside on this one still.

Jerry991, I think it is likely more nuanced than that PDK/Manual issue? Yes, a manual in the GTS is probably more desirable, but it also has to do with very limited supply because less than 1 in 10 991s have a manual in them. So, a limited run of GTS cars + a MT makes them sell like hot cakes. Also, with the GT4 lifting the desire for Manuals in P cars, when one does pop up that is well equipped, it is more sought after in combination with the last NA motors we are ever going to see in any Porsches. At least, I believe that is the thinking . . .

Vintage72, well said ^^^
PDK demand and production eclipses manuals. Just at the current time, there is a lot of demand for GTS manuals in the enthusiast circles.

I am not sure if this one has already been mentioned, but a white C2S is listed at $73.9k with only 3k miles on Audi Porsche of Southampton; I can't post links here, so the VIN is WP0AB2A94CS120576 if anyone is interested. No PSE and SC, unfortunately.
