You guys might want to check out Carvana. ATM they have quite a few good deals on 911's.

I wouldn't buy a car from Carvana with your money.

I found my car on CarGurus. AutoTrader, Carfax and Edmunds are also good resources.

Autotempest is a good aggregate.

Carvana and the rest are very slow to follow the market. I think autotempest is a good start, although it tends to show more irrelevant ebay auctions than is should. I usually open carmax, carvana, autotrader, cargurus, facebook marketplace with areas covering the whole country, rennlist marketplace, BaT auctions and cars and bids. Carmax and carvana are not the best, cargurus is weird because most don't have a price. The rest are OK.

You are absolutely right. Right after posing I wanted to write that probably a box of silicone shine was sprayed all over the car to conceal imperfections.

Winter purchase it is

+1 Seasonal and Economic factors will drive prices down. The Crazy over spending days are coming to an end soon. IMHO

I hope so, but a 991.1 GTS just went for $109k on BaT, not even particularly well optioned, meaning well over $120k with sales tax. Meanwhile you can buy a brand new optioned out M3 Competition xDrive for $90k.

In my experience Facebook marketplace is a toxic cesspool which makes craigslist look like The Quail, by comparison.

The buy/sell groups are really bad, I concur. The individual ads can be a hit and miss. I almost bought a 911 from fb, but the seller ended up selling it to someone else. I think it's worth the effort at least to look at it from time to time. I'm still not sure why some people are trying to sell cars for 50-100kUSD and not make proper pictures and a description. It's not just fb marketplace, but basically everywhere (except BaT and c&b of course).

rear wheels seem to stick out a bit far. Thoughts?

These are the 50th-anniversary wheels. As far as I know, they are supposed to fit the wide body 991.1 only

^^^ They look ok to me, but then I fitted 7mm spacers on my 991.2.

That 50th Anniversary wheel is a beauty.

To my eye, the car’s suspension needs lowering a little.

If those are authentic 50th anniv wheels (which they look they are), you can easily sell them for good money, and replace with OEM narrow body fit wheels (sport chronos, carrera classics, etc.)
