Can anyone tell me an approximate cost to fix the door panels and hinge cover?
rock chips could/will be on any car. I wouldn’t stress that

A good upholstery shop
should be able to fix the doors relatively cheap

pedros garage in Tampa does it for I think $250 a panel, supposed to be a permanent fix.

It’s going to be hard to find a clean title manual 991 with sub 30k miles at that price IMO

Thank you so much for the feedback. I'm torn because I'd love to get into a 991 at that price but on top of the things I mentioned, I'd want to retrofit apple carplay, add a rearview camera, upgrade to 991.2 steering wheel. It also need brake service. Might be smarter for me to pay more and get a 991.2.
I know there's no right answer but would love to get some advice.

To get a 991.2 manual will cost you around $80-85K with mileage around the 30K mark.

This car is $55K. The upgrades you want to do will not come close to $25-30K (maybe $5K at the most).
So, if you like the car, I'd buy it. It seems to be a good deal to me.

If the car needs two leather door panels (used) and a 991.2 steering wheel, that's around 5k + some change. I would buy it as well, if it was not red but yellow. Maybe I shouldn't care this much about the color.

991.2 is going to feel much faster. They really are 2 different cars. Depends really want you want but finding a manual .2 is probably going to be a waiting game and def. 85k

I can concur. I test drove a 2015 S before I went with the 2017 991.2. The amount of torque down low in the rev range is noticeable. In order to drive the car quickly on back roads, you don't have to really rev the engine or push the car really hard to move quickly.
NA engine sound is a different story of course.

Does this mean 991.1 price will continue to depreciate ?

Default Cost

Pedros is $250 for the panels and the fix is superior to oem. Sports wheel is 1200 tops. You could throw in pse and soul headers and still not be at 5k. The paint chips are not really fixable.

Does this fall under the category of "if it's too good to be true" ...Seems like a hell of a price for a 15. Thoughts?

This was confusing to me. I think who ever wrote this hasn't been studying the current 991 market and crazy pricing.

It's good to know about the Pedros fix. Getting the 991.2 steering wheel is more like 2k if you're lucky. The airbag is crazy expensive. The paint chips can be taken care of by a paint shop, it's not going to be OEM, but if you only notice it from 2inches away, that'd be good enough for me.

ive been watching for a long time...daily. It’s def. been up this year. But if you think about it, a 992 manual is only available on the s which is going to run you at least 120k+ new. How low can clean 991 manuals really fall ?
