Maybe they are footprints (or toe prints)? Some Porsche owners can be pretty wild and crazy.

Paul Miller had a 1,500 mile Miami Blue Carrera T in a great build last month. It was $17k off MSRP and CPO'd. I was surprised it lasted so long before selling.

Thing is, the manual seems to be a disappointment to many. The clutch is feather light and the gearing isn't ideal to many. The clutch doesn't catch until it's nearly all the way up too. The tranny was designed for PDK-S, and the manual was an afterthought because of demand. Opinions will vary (OF COURSE!!!), but many guys are happy they've moved on to the GT3RS and some the GT2RS.

The .2 GT3 is also a bit quieter and more compliant than the .1's. These cars don't come alive until you're in the upper RPM ranges and over legal speed limits. Sometimes hard to get the full experience consistently on street driving depending where you live.

I love the GT's myself. Rumors are they are all going TURBO for 992, so we'll see .....
Shortly after test driving my friends MT 911-50, I test drove and bought my MT base .2. Some folks think the clutch in the .1 is too heavy. The .2 clutch is lighter, but not feather light and engagement is reasonably low on the pedal travel. Linkage felt the same to me. Many may have issues with the ratios, but the MT is engaging and will not disappoint those who are easily bored with the (brilliant) PDK.

I recently bought a 2013 Carrera S and during my search came across a 2013 Carrera 4S that was my close second.

I'm convinced that the only reason it hasn't sold yet is because the seller hasn't listed it on one of the major car buying sites

White 4S Cabriolet
32k Miles
2nd Owner
Virginia

6 months of CPO left

Things he told me:
- Clear bra is yellowing but isn't damaged
- 4yr / 40k service complete (he provided me with the service record)
- He's selling because he wants to lower his monthly payment to invest in his restaurant (he bought a camaro/mustang already)
- I believe the Sports Exhaust was added later on and may be something other than OEM but he wasn't sure
- His payoff is $74.8k (as of Aug 2018) and he would take $75k but rejected my offer of $73k

I passed on it for two reasons:
1. I didn't really need AWD, I have a X5 for winter and figured a regular 911S would be more fun
2. I wanted a lower mile car (ended up buying a car with 20k) as these cars tend to lose value when they hit 40k+ which will make a difference when I try to sell in 2 years when we expand our family

The first time I have seen a 991 wearing a diaper.

I have a question for this thread as you guys deal with pricing on the daily...

I'm going to be in the market for a 991.1 soon, but I have PLENTY of time to wait.

My question is, does it behoove me to wait until the 992 hits the market expecting a wide price drop on 991.1 and .2's because old 991 owners are upgrading to 992's and their old cars are hitting the market?

Off topic for here, but many will find it interesting.

VIce President of Marketing and GT car sales at Champion Motorsports Porsche in FL took $2.5 million $$ in deposits fraudulently from customers for GT models and had them wire the $ to a shill company he made up called Champion Autosports. He's MIA and ran with the cash. His wife was in on the scam too.

Hard to believe from the #1 volume Porsche dealer in the USA. Dealership is avoiding calls from those defrauded and referring them to their attorney.

What do you think a mid-mile (say, 30,000) base 991 Cab will go for this winter? Let us figure it is a clean car with say a $110,000 build. My mom is shopping for a replacement "fun car" for her silly FWD Mercedes "sport" coupe (I don't know the model, but it drives like crap) and she was thinking of getting a C300 cab. I am trying to steer her away from that depreciation land mine. Not to mention base 991>>>Mercedes C300.

If I could find her something in the low 50's, I think she takes it over the C300. The only caveat is that it HAS to be red over beige interior, and HAS to have a CPO. She hasn't had anything but that combo since the 90's. It's why she usually buys new cars only, as that is fairly tough to find used. But hey, GR over Beige is fairly common in the P-car world.

Thoughts? I don't know what kind of discount to expect on a cab going into winter. In some areas, cab season starts in the fall of course.

I can't recall seeing any base cabs with CPO under $60k. Rare to see CPO base coupes for less than 60k if they have lower mileage.
