When you turn the car off (and open the door I think), the clock in the Sport Chrono goes to 12:00 and the second hand stops at the top. When you unlock the driver's side door, some dash lights come on, like the odometer, and even before the key is turned, the clock eventually spins to the correct time and the second hand starts moving.
The Porsche engineers must be very punctual - the time can show in 4 places at once with Sport Chrono: the digital time in the chrono, the analog time in the chrono, on the PCM, and in the multifunction display in the dash!

My recollection is it won't work unless in Sport or Sport+ then to get back in gear, you have to still be rolling and pull the right paddle or pull the gear shift back for an upshift to 1st gear. If not rolling, you have to press brake pedal while pulling for an upshift to get into 1st gear.

Not necessarily - you can shift from N to 1st and so on but you need to be going over about 5mph otherwise you'll have to roll to a stop in N, apply brake then go to 1st.

Funny you mention this as I bought one when I got my car. Rarely leave it out in the sun and forgot it was back there until reading this!! I does fit perfectly.

We use to have KICK DOWN too. Pull back on downshift, mash the gas and it will go to the lowest gear (think 7th to 4th) in a nano second and sling shot you forward. Porsche removed that and suggested we simply slide the stick over to automatic mode THEN mash it as its less effort IN THEIR EYES. Or we click it each gear manually . I liked kick down as I come from BMW land. Being able to go from 7th to 4th quickly in manual mode was nice. Now we have to downshift 3 times to get the same effect OR put it in automatic mode and let it do it for you.

You are at a stop light and the engine is at the higher sport idle. You want the lower normal idle but wish sport the instant you move, SO, momentary movement to normal and then to sport will now give you normal (lower) idle with sport mode active. Mostly... If the car is hot or many other things this might not work. I usually do this after engaging hill hold, need to try tomorrow while holding the brake. Also about the coast feature. A more accurate way to describe coast function is a quick pulling and RELEASE of both paddles. This technically is not neutral but the same as pushing the clutch in, more specifically both clutches.

So, I just went out to the garage and looked behind the seats (never folded them down before). Nothing back there and I never heard of the OEM sunshade. Was that an option? Or a standard item I should have?

Kind of defeats the purpose of having keyless entry doesn’t it? Point of having the key in my pocket is I don’t have to take it out. This is how the doors work. IMO they need a new type of sensor for the frunk that is optical or more mechanical.
