Maybe I shud have ordered a ferrari and then I would never have started this thread. Ferrari= RED for me, no question or conflict in that.

Not to derail the conversation, but anyone know what the difference is?

According to the configurator, sport chrono now adds just the sport plus button as the sport button is already standard, The big change, though, is that sport chrono now also includes the dynamic engine mounts.

Thanks. Can you help explain what "dynamic engine mounts" is? I'm still learning.

Sure! Dynamic engine mounts were previously available on the Turbo and GT3. They use a special fluid in a magnetic field to adapt the stiffness of the engine mountings to driving conditions. Under normal driving they are more flexible and help isolate engine vibrations, just like standard mounts. When you start to drive more briskly, the mounts stiffen up to help control engine movement and provide crisper handling.

I prefer the new racing yellow to the red. Actually, I think the new yellow looks better than the old speed yellow.
My dealer said she like the new Agate grey but not seeing any photo...
I turned in my options list without color combination and still not sure which I gonna pick from below

Agate Grey with Beige or Espresso
White with Black interior plus interior package exterior color painted
Yellow with Grey
Dark Blue with Beige

To make your choice easier I would eliminate Grey and Dark blue and decide between white and yellow. Red, yellow, white and black are all excellent colors and free. Black is hard to keep clean but nonetheless a good color.

I say go for the Racing Yellow, that color is a stand out.

As for the interior, a Black interior is the classic match for Yellow. However, it's your car and if you want Blue, go for it. While not my cup of tea, I've seen far worse combos out there. I'd have to see it together, but it could actually work ok. Your car certainly would be unique.

I like the racing yellow, beautiful color, but I don't feel like giving up the red either.

Actually I like the white from the biginning. However, I am not so sure after I saw several old white 997/996 trunning yellowish in my neighborhood.

I like white, stays very clean, but will get that later in some sedan. But nothing wrong with a white porsche.

Racing Yellow is a new color for '12. Lighter than Speed Yellow.

And yes, there are still a few bits of the interior that we can provide in body color/painted if you desire.

Definitely Red over blue. Classic racing colors of the sixties......course those were mostly ferraris.

SY looked like mustard. Too dark and just awful.

RY looks like a Lambo/Ferrari shade of yellow. Perfect.

GR is a classic and my #1 choice but the Carrara white looks terrific in the pics.
