Is the magnet on the charger strong enough to hold the phone in place if the phone has a case on it. Or do I have to take the case off? Thanks

I took some photos so you can see the clearance of your forearm while your elbow is on the center console and your hand on the shifter. With the phone in vertical orientation, it slightly touches your forearm (more so when you're in 1st, 3rd, 5th gears and doesn't touch in 2nd, 4th, 6th).


Vertical.
With the phone in horizontal orientation, there are no issues and plenty of clearance.

Horizontal.


The fit of the holder onto the center panel is perfect. You slip the front end and push down on the back and it gives you a nice audible click. There is no movement afterwards at all. I'm very pleased. Thank you so much for creating this.

Depends on the case. Almost all Otterbox cases without MagSafe won't work. Anything that is specifically made for MagSafe works great.
