I have DOWC. Haven't experienced any pushback from them on my claims. Sounds like a much better deal than Fidelity.

What is “DOWC”? Interested in exploring that option. Thx

Did you get the contract through a dealer? Doesn’t seem like warranties can be purchased directly from them.

They will sell to the end user. I had pretty well decided on going with Fidelity, but has caused a second look. Strictly monthly premiums that in the long run are comparable to Fidelity pricing. Our car is approaching 60K miles, so the Platinum is about $8K for five years. DOWD has no term or mileage restrictions as long as the monthly payments are made.
For someone planning to keep the car, I have to seriously consider this company.

The above screenshot of repair invoice of the sport chrono clock is from me. I bought the Fidelity plan from Mike Jourdan at Mossy Motors (mjourdan@mossymotors.com) whose information I found from this forum. Had the best prices at the time. I brought my car to my local Porsche West Broward dealer and my SA, who I trust and have used many times before, told me that Fidelity covers items based on the part numbers, it's that simple. My SA called Fidelity on my behalf it was explained that my policy is exclusionary, but they told him that the part is not covered.

As for the COV valves, although I could never get them to "replicate" the issue at the dealer, I had my independent mechanic file a claim with Fidelity to change all of them (7 or 8?) and it was approved without issue. He also filed a claim for the spoiler mechanism (plastic spring holder broke, very common) so we did both at the same time, only paid one deductible.

I've posted before and will do it again...

Had two Porsches over the last few years (997.2 Turbo S and my current 991.2 Turbo S). Sold the 997.2TTS before the warranty was up (transferred to new owner).

Both have had Fidelity Platinum Warranties...BOTH had claims through my local Porsche Dealer...and BOTH had them pay out with ZERO issues..

In fact, my current warranty has already paid for itself!! I paid $3643.00 for my current warranty (60k / 5yr.) about two years ago and already had TWO separate claims totaling $6526.52 with my deductible payments being $551.61.

So they've paid out $5974.91 which means I'm already $2331.91 to the Good!!!! (meaning Fidelity is at a loss on me at $2331.91 and I still have 3 years left on my warranty).

Fact is, I'm Happy and totally satisfied with Fidelity.

It's all mileage based. My veh. at the time only had 23k miles. Prices totally change if mileage is high or lower and year model I'm sure.

I'm sure they've gone up though.

**DOWC has a 5k max lifetime payout per policy! Ummmm that’s a no go!

Never heard of that. My policy is limited to the blue book value of the car.
5k max lifetime makes no sense. for a warranty that can cost 5k.

That is what we like to hear, and I'd say at least 95% of Fidelity's customer experiences... I'll give 5% for those up in the air. It took us 12 months to be vetted and established as an authorized retailer, Fidelity is very serious about all aspects of their business.

Turns out if you buy DOWC from the dealer, it’s fine. If you buy it directly from them, there’s the 5k limit. (sorry got off course in this fidelity thread! Fwiw, I’m going to get fidelity)
