Default The Fidelity Platinum Megathread

So I bought a 2013 991.1 S last week. Car has 34,300 miles on the clock.
From the moment I put the deposit on I knew that I'm getting a warranty since it's not a CPO car. Some research on Rennlist and I found the following respected resellers of the warranty:
1. Michael Jordan - mjourdan@mossymotors.com
2. Troy Dietrich - tdietrich@toyotaofgreenfield.com
2. Michael Bernardo - mbernardo1111@gmail.com
4. Sigve Friedle - sigve.friedle@audibeaverton.com

First things first I read so many good things about Michael Jordan, I e-mailed him and got a quote. I asked a few more questions and he patiently answered all of them over the phone. I expected pricing to be the same across the board so when I e-mailed Troy I was surprised to see that his pricing was a little better. The only caveat with Troy is that your car has to have an active manufacturer warranty in order for him to sell you the platinum warranty once the original warranty expires, he can also sell the warranty if you bring the car to his dealership which if my memory serves me right is in Boston. My car did not have an effective warranty and I wasn't about to drive to Boston with it so we couldn't work out a deal. Understanding that there is some wiggle room I contacted Michael Bernardo and Sigve, both of them gave me good offers until eventually I got the best offer from Sigve. It came to the point where he said that he's selling the warranty for $50 above cost.

I ended up paying: $5,379 for 5 years/60k miles/$100 Deductible.

I hope this thread helps new 911 members find the best cost warranty for their car so share your experiences here.

Good way to start the thread. Accurate I believe too. Troy got me the best deal on a 10 year platinum on a vehicle with under 10k miles a s still under mfg Warranty. Several hundred dollars less than the next best price. I bought the warranty with about 3 weeks left on mfg warranty.

Default I used rebecca

At midlothian BMW no idea if she is still there. Quoted me less then charged tax so even with michael at the time. 5k miles, 10yr/100k plat 4500. They do not verify mileage or the car in person and cost is based on mileage.

I purchased a 2012 991.1 last August. It was a 13.6K GQ serviced by Porsche. A few months ago I purchased a Fidelity Platinum 0/Ded 3/36 from Michael Jordan (who was excellent to deal with) for $2,900. No inspection needed and long out of CPO warranty. Price is tied to the miles from what I'm seeing here...FWIW.

Very good info you collected. I live in the Boston area so I plan to give Troy a call first.

@countbasey - You should be able to cancel out and get a pro-rata refund. You could then go and get one at a better "street price" and keep the change. Check into that. Might "cost" you a couple of phone calls.

Thats pretty good, I am seeing $3k for 2 year platinum with $500 deductible, nearly $3400 for $250, for a CPO 2012.5 with 36k miles

I recieved a price quote for a 19 C4GTS. It was about $4200 for 10yr/100k because car does not have 10k miles on it yet. That it the key mileage differentiator so keep that in mind.
