2013 c2s that caught the reboot virus at lunchtime today

this whole situation reminds me of two things

1. Gosh darn cancel Sirius xm finally.

2. Go start looking for an older simpler vintage 911 to swap mine for- Preferably a Singer Porsche 911. Lol. Yeah, that should do it. Let me start working on that.
I’d also like to point out that I recently installed an aftermarket oem style backup camera that required pcm system coding. This vehicle handover reset did not erase my backup camera coding settings. It’s still present and working. Just FYI for others who might have aftermarket backup cameras installed and who were nervous about resetting the pcm. Cheers

Same issue on a 2012.5 S. Not not able to resolve. I did buy a new iPhone today and the problem began as soon as I drove the car with the new phone. Before I discovered this thread I reset the PCM to factory settings. That forced a reset of SXM. PCM still reseting every 2 minutes. I will try one more time. And pull the fuse if that does not work. I am glad I found this thread before I started to remove the PCM.

I Think it’s purely coincidental that the problem started with a new phone.

i had to reset twice (handover resent, not factory reset), someone above had to do it 3 times. But hopefully it will work for you.

I just did this on our 2015 macan turbo. I think key is you need to do the full factory handover option. Even after that it will reboot if you don’t do the SIRIUS xm flash.

I reset with the handover option. Then it reboot as I took to long to send the sirius. After sending the SIRIUS signal. All was fine again. Sat there for about ten minutes and no more reset.

agree, current data shows only to do with having XM gear in car, don't even need to be subscribed, was a marketing/"taste" stunt by XM. they sent a push that caused all this.

Looks like you have all received the COSIRIUS 19 vaccine. Carry on with your new normals. Adding this to the list of 2020 “events”...

  1. Go into your PCM, click info or car or whatever until you get to the Reset PCM to Factory option. Push that. Tell it Yes. Clear everything. You should still have a Reset PCM button.
  2. Now pull our your phone and go here and do the thing with your radio id on xm chan #0 - https://care.siriusxm.com/retailrefr...#/refreshradio
  3. Immediately reset the PCM again.
You probably don't need to do it twice but that's what I did and it worked. The first time I either fiddled up the timing or two is required for some reason.
You guys are great - thanks. I have a 991.1 Turbo 2016. Started up this afternoon. The re-booting issue. BTW, this happened 2 years ago on my 997.2 and my PCM was fritzed out of warranty - so i had visions of an issue although i still have 2 years of warranty.

This worked. Just did it. and i drove for 20 minutes with no issue. So thanks again.. Hoping its resolved.

Followed the instructions above and my PCM stopped rebooting every 2 minutes.

But after resetting it no longer shows an option to play on Aux bluetooth. Synced my phone, phone works ok, but no streaming over bluetooth option. Happened to anyone else? Any fix for this?

Haven’t tried the AUX yet.

Assume this is the reboot process?

Does the handoff process nuke the jukebox contents?
