Thanks for posting. That looks like quite a bit of disassembly. May as well as for the throttle body to get cleaned out, serpentine belt replaced and maybe get a few other things done. I'd be interested in hearing what other maintenance items should be taken care of while this happens.

Sorry to hear about your Targa. Those pictures are a bit nuts. Sad to think they were caused by a rag. Can't believe PNA/dealers still tried to get out of covering the owners for the damage. I hope that wasn't your case.

Default Heat shield replaced under recall

I just had my heat shield replaced under recall on my 991S last Monday. My local Porsche dealer stated that they received notice of the recall last Thursday.

My 2012 991.1 C2S shows no open recalls, but I received my letter from Porsche Canada via e-mail stating my "vehicle is affected by Porsche campaign WLA4".

Even in the letter posted above states it's a "Non-Coded action".

Probably stepping up before it becomes a recall of sorts.
Where can we find more info about Service Bulletins for the 991.1?

I got the call yesterday and they said I'm up for two recalls on my 2013 C4S.

Heat shield and to replace the unit that measures the fuel tank vapor capture.

Anyone know what that's about?

Just looked at my appointment for next Saturday. The two recalls are WLA4 and WLC8

One nice thing .... the parts to do both are already on the shelf at the dealer.

Default Heat Shield

I haven't received any notification from dealer or PCNA previously but I sent a message on the Porsche web site and got this response:

Thank you for contacting Porsche Cars North America regarding your 2013 911 Carrera.

Below, please find the open workshop campaigns on your vehicle (VIN WP0AA2A92DS********):

WLA4 - Retrofit heat shield
WLC8 - Replacing tank leakage diagnostic module

These may not show up on the recall lookup tool because they are not safety recalls, they are workshop campaigns. We must encourage you to contact the Service Department of an authorized Porsche dealership to schedule an appointment to perform these updates.

Again, we appreciate you reaching out and providing us the opportunity to respond. Have a wonderful rest of your day!

Best regards,
