I'd like to get these because I've always worried about damage to the radiators on the sides. But what is the purpose of the center screen? It looks like on my car (2017 4S with PK) there are center slats but just a plastic plate behind them, almost for decorative purposes. So is the center screen not really needed? Thanks

I had the Rennline grills on my previous 991.1 but removing the bumper, and particularly disconnecting the wire harness, is something I’m not looking to do again...
Yes, no center radiator on my GTS and I could not stand looking at the cheap plastic filler panel so I had to install the center, for looks only!

No not needed but it just looks more finished and balanced with the center grill in. Just a matter what you think looks best, but not functional just a matter of esthetics.

Another question from me before I pull the trigger on these; is anyone running them in conjunction with the Skene front license plate brackets?

Do you guys think it would be feasible to paint these grills? I'm thinking agate gray for a gt silver T.

I don't see why not but if it were me I would have them sandblasted and powdercoated to ensure they hold up well, which should not cost much.

Can someone take some pictures of the inside and outside of the fastening mechanism used to hold these grill covers in place ?

Specifically interested in the inside face.

The outside face appears to be just a screw/ fastener head but there is some kind of box/ plate behind the mesh.

The outer just have little hooks, no screws except for the center section. Did you check the Zunnsport web site? I think there is a YouTube video there or elsewhere.

Like what Bob said, no screws. Only for the center grill. It’s so easy to install

EDIT: I was looking at the 991.1 versions. 991.2 are indeed not available to order. They were backordered when I placed my purchase mid-March and took a couple of weeks after for them to ship.

My gut feeling is these will look even better with the strakes removed. For those who have installed them, does that seem easy or feasible?

Funny thing is I hated the strakes on the Oak Green Carrera, but mind them a lot less and even sort of like them on the Brewster Green car. Paint color can be a funny thing…
