737gdog, did you relieve the two tabs at the top leading edge the center insert?

Looks good.

Are you referring to the two tabs mentioned in DaveGee’s post? I just followed the directions from Zunsport. Met a friend awhile ago for a beer, we can do that in GA, and he did not notice the gap on the center. Most people will not but I do.

Just did mine a few days ago, 2013 991.1 S with the Sports package. The center had the template blank for a radiator if I had one . I had to cut off the two tabs on the bottom of the Zunsport grill as I didn't want to cut holes in my center blank for it to fit. Just screws upper left and right and it's snug. I may place one single screw on the bottom middle. I'm happy with my purchase. You may see what appears to be blotches on the grill, I just washed the front hood.

Your car looks good Tex, but just so there’s no confusion for those of us breathlessly following this thread; we’re talking about Zunsport grills for “non-GTS” cars. The center grill opening and Zunsport grill for your GTS is not the same as it is on other models.

...with a Sports Package front clip, which is standard on the GTS. Thanks for (not) clearing that up.

So there is a DIY thread that was created. I basically followed that and Ask @polobai for help on some things. Here is the thread : https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1145...l-install.html

I bought the Mesh thats in the thread, Its enough to do 2 sets so if you mess up dont worry. Here is the link:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007JD4QSS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007JD4QSS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought the 3rd radiator trim from my local porsche dealer. They had it for the cheapest I could find actually. $111.xx and once they shipped it I went in and picked it up. PN: 991-505-569-05-OK1 ( this has the hole for the temp sensor so you dont need to make anything or cut the mesh to mount it)

The biggest time consuming part was cutting and trimming and molding the mesh so it was perfect. For the sides I unbolted the slats and then used the trim pieces to sandwich the mesh between the two. It's not going anywhere. For the center I molded and formed the mesh around the contour of the trim and I used small wire to make sure it was snug. I drilled 2 holes in the trim from top and 2 from bottom that arent visible when bumper is on. The slats are easy to remove, I left the motor bolted in place cause I wasnt sure if it would throw any codes. But this is 100% reversible.

They help with MPG's on freeway they close for better/less resistance. They simply unbolt and pull appart and can be reinstalled if you want to.

No they dont have any other function than what I explained above.

Relax Dave, get it out of first gear. 😎. I was relating and wanting to add to other posts about GTS grill work, not yours, but Bob Z's blue GTS, SwedeinNY's GTS query and others. But if you want to police Aatish original post, go for it....alrighty then, it's all good.

Relax? Hah! If I was any more relaxed they'd have to bury me.

Thanks @911, this is super helpful! This is probably beyond my DIY abilities but I'll take a closer look to see if I take the plunge.
