So I've had my Cobb tune (Stock C2, Stage 1 93) on the car for a month and I've put on some miles now. I really love it - the car is MUCH faster and more powerful than stock. I've got to say that I can't imagine much more power in the Stock C2 setup -- the traction control gets a pretty good workout with Stage 1 installed if you get into it.

For those of you wondering how the Cobb off the shelf tunes for a 991.2 C2 matches up to various stock 991.2s, I've taken the Cobb v1.06 dyno charts and overlaid them on each other and traced/isolated the various HP/TQ curves (on my ipad using the pencil, so it is a bit ugly). These show stock base/S/GTS vs. Stage 1 93 & Stage 2 93 for the 991.2 C2. Assuming that the Cobb dyno charts are consistent, I'm really impressed with the gains. BTW, excuse the gray "lines" on the charts. Those were an attempt to "erase" the lines from the various charts that were irrelevant to the comparison.

I have to honest. I do not find those gains to be very impressive, especially the HP.

Me, too - they do not seem to convey what Cobb is showing on their web site, and what my butt is telling me as well.

I think it is impressive. Its saying that a 991.2 C2 can be tuned to match the power of a GTS.

I’m impressed, especially with the torque increase in the lower range. From a cost-benefit perspective, I’m very happy. It can be tuned to do much more, but I’m happy for the moment.

Yes, a tuned base can get very close to a stock GTS. It's the best mod that one can do. On a different note, I'm running the 93 octane stage 2 file on my GTS and it's running like a champ with a little help from some octane booster that I'm using.

I have no skin in this game yet, but I will be purchasing a Base 991.2 base in the very near future. APR seems to do a lot more with their Base tune.

Yes, APR is much more aggressive. It is a trade off right now between APR’s more powerful tune and Cobb AccessPort’s convenience.

Personally I like a little more oomph, convenience and that I am not over stressing the car more than I need to, which is why I opted for Cobb (as I did in the past).

The biggest benefit of using the COBB Accessport is the ability to run a ProTune (custom tune) on your car. You can literally maximize the results and custom tailor it to your car and wants. You cannot do that with any other tuning company other than COBB.
Shoot me a message if you're looking to move into a ProTune, we can add even more juice above the OTS with COBB's custom tuning software.

I've saved the old maps so if somebody needs v105 or older, I can send to you. It's a good idea to always to download and save your old maps before doing an update.
GT Rennsport. Any chance you can send me a copy of the V105 and older files? Thanks Marc

Are these the more aggressive OTS maps?
