Do you have a log for 1st gear? Not sure if Cobb's limiting boost for traction purposes.

just an FYI Cobb Tunings new v106 maps, if you are running catless bypass pipes like me, they no longer work with the OTS maps when you update the APM to firmware 1.7.3.0-19239 and up. The car acts similar to stock again, so its off for a custom remote tune for me unfortunately. They are saying its an emissions thing. just a heads up... so if you car is running good on a out of date AP, and say a v102 map, DONT UPDATE.

I've saved the old maps so if somebody needs v105 or older, I can send to you. It's a good idea to always to download and save your old maps before doing an update.

When you say "similar to stock" are you talking about the readiness codes for catalyst?

do you have a v102 map? and similar to stock as in its making around 14ish psi boost max... but i don't think it has to do with the ptm file, however if you have one, ill surely give it a try! i think its the new version firmware

On my current MacBook I have V104 that I can share right away. I'll need to look at my time machine backups to see what other files I have. PM your email and I will send the V104.

Just last night, I flashed my 991.2 GTS w/PDK 91 octane Stage 2 file and drove it around for about 20 miles. As expected, I couldn't tell the difference from stock. Today, I drove another 50+ spirited miles and somewhere along the drive, my beast woke up. Of course, it's just my butt dyno data.

It sounds like you never tried Stage 1 first. right? If so, any reason?

I skipped stage 1 because 2>1, allegedly.
On a different note....After I installed 200 cell cats, high flow headers, and the BMC air filter, my rear wheels would lose traction when I floored the gas from a stop. After installing the stage 2 map, they hardly slip. Hmmmm.

easy way to measure the difference is to see how many longitudinal Gs you can pull in a given gear for each map. Works best when your tires have grip, but will at least give you another metric to compare what the maps are doing for you.

True; however, I wanted to see the difference so I am on Stage 1 for about 500 miles then I will try Stage 2 to see if there is a big difference, and if not I will go back to Stage 1 so as to stress things more than I need to.

Reporting back now that I have my boost leak issues sorted out. The car ('17 991.2 C2 base - no mods) is MUCH more powerful than it was previously. Take this with a bit of a grain of salt because my boost leak was limiting me to 10-11PSI previously. Now, on my base C2 with no mods, with Stage 1 93 v1.06, I'm getting boost at 17-18psi (this is based on datalogs as the C2 boost gauge only goes up to 15psi). The car feels much more alive, plants you in your seat when you step on it, and feels great. Based on Cobb's dyno charts, it should be putting out about the same HP and Torque as a stock 991.2 GTS now. I've driven base, S and GTS 991.2s (the S and GTS for 90 min. each at the experience center) and, to me, it feels similar to the GTSs -- of course, there is no real science involved in that statement. All in all, I'm very happy with the Cobb system, especially given that, with the latest firmware, I was able to remap the ECU without sending it in.

BTW, I've read that the Stage 2 maps can be used if you have the Sports Exhaust (which I do). Has anyone tried this combo?

What was the cause of your boost leak?
