Looks like the 992 GT3 PDK **** should work as per the 718 crew

I am not 100%, but the shift pattern was on the shifter button on the 991.1 and earlier. When Porsche put the shifter pattern on the PDK surround with the 991.2 they quite putting it on the button.

Some people got the pattern embossed on the PDK shifter, while others didn't, it's not a 991.1 versus 991.2 thing.

From what I can tell, if you ordered a premium shifter option like aluminum or carbon, it came with the shift pattern, while if you didn't, it (probably) didn't.

Edit: The boots do look like they could be different leather based on the picture but there is suede options available which seem like it may match better?
So, I went ahead and purchased this ebay boot at substantial savings. Put it in and it is great. Thanks to @BaltimoreHokie for the find! The leather is different, grainy versus smooth, but I really like it.

On another note: I will send for free the old boot, just pay $12 for shipping. Note: There is nothing wrong with the old boot. It was originally black stitching and I had it professionally restitched in red. The new stitching is not perfect but very very good - to my eyes 9 out of 10. Reason for the change is that in certain bright light there appears to be a little bit of an orange tinge to it. It may be just my eyes, but it bothered me enough to change it, but then again, I have a severe case of OCD.

Here is a pic. PM me if interested.

My conversion went well. 1) Removed passenger side console cover (this is to allow plastic trim tool leverage to lift side of top trim cover on console in step #2.) 2) Removed top trim cover on console (aluminum on my car.) Lift rear of this cover first using plastic trim tool then lift passenger side of trim cover using plastic trim tool. 3) Remove shifter **** as described in earlier post #39. I used an adjustable wrench with plastic tape on the jaws to prevent scratching the PDK **** release collar. Also use tape for the PDK cover plate to prevent scratches from the wrench. 4) Used a plastic trim tool to lift up the PDK cover plate. Lift (unsnap) the front of this cover plate first. Lifting made possible by removing the console trim plate in step #2. Unsnap the rear of the PDK cover plate and remove it lifting it over the shifter arm. It's a snug lift with the wires still connected to it.

5) Disconnect the wire connector to the hazard and lock buttons. UNANTICIPATED SURPRISE. The wire connector to the hazard and lock buttons didn't want to release from its connector to the wire harness. While attempting to separate it, the circuit board for these buttons, connected to the stubborn wire connector, pulled out of its frame surround in the PDK cover plate. If this happens be certain you don't loose the rubber seal between the exposed circuit board face and the buttons. This circuit board separation actually solved the problem of the stuck connector as it no longer needed to be disconnected to free the PDK cover plate. I removed the button assembly and button frame surround from the now 'free' PDK cover plate. Snapped them into the new button cover plate from Suncoast Porsche. Snapped the still connected circuit board (with the rubber seal on the circuit board face) into the button assembly. The new button cover plate assembly now snapped into the console. Everything else with the leather boot replacing the plastic PDK cover plate was in reverse order to put back together.

I purchased my leather boot and manual **** assembly from eBay for $200. It's real leather with the 'Carrera' name tag on it. Its from a 991.1, and it fit my 2017 991.2. The leather boot and manual **** assembly from a 991.2 will have a '911' name tag on it. The $18 Suncoast Porsche cover plate is part number 991-553-651-01-A05. Channel Lock makes a precise 8" slim jaw 'Code Blue' adjustable wrench #8SWCB.

Hi, I don’t suppose anyone has the part number for the leather boot with yellow stitching?

Thanks very much.

Default PDK Boot Conversion

Hello,
I am new here, I would like to modify the PDK gear **** on my Porsche, a friend recommended the company ICT Innovativ Car Tech from Germany,
They are a manufacturer of shift *****, now I see that they have a retrofit kit for the PDK, it actually looks quite good, what do you think?
Has anyone already installed something from ICT gearknob?

Unless you have Alcantara suede elsewhere in the interior I would choose a regular leather.

I actually bought this brand on ebay. I did not use the shifter as I just needed the boot. Good quality, no issues.
