Likewise, I had no idea this was possible. It's now on my upgrade to-do list. Looks quite easy and the look, I think, is a nice improvement.

So no need to remove this big trim?

No, just remove the silver center shifter cover with a trim tool.

That’s good to hear. Sounds easy lol

But where do you recommend sticking the trim tool? Near the emergency button area ?

I would start from the top part or closer to the vent/heated seat buttons. If you scratch anything, it will be hard to see it

Thats a good advice . Thank you!

Now, I’m debating going black stitching with 911 logo or red stitching with no logo.

Too bad they don’t make red stitching with logo.

I know. In my case, I went with white stitching since my car has silver stiching. It looks like a match.

Just finished my install. I ended up removing the large surrounding trim piece in order to get the PDK plate out. More work, but I was very nervous prying from the top of the plate against my black trim with the tools I have. With the surrounding trim off it is very easy to pop the shifter plate off from underneath with no prying. I am very happy with the results and the boot's silver stitching matches the other interior stitching perfectly. Thanks for all the install advice and part numbers.

Looks amazing with the silver stitching matching the interior. 🔥🔥🔥

Mine should arrive next week, can’t wait to complete this mod.

On a side note, i was made aware from a member here about Suncoast selling the kit w/o the shift **** . But price is more expensive than buying the Boxster/Cayman kit with shift ****.

I came across a shift boot on eBay for $79 with free shipping in perfect condition and ordered the lower trim piece from the local dealership for $16 to complete the upgrade.
