@BA73: To my eye, the agate grey stone guard in combination with the Carrera T running strip looks slightly too cluttered for my own personal taste. But the look has slowly grown on me since the first time I saw a similar picture a few months ago.

Agree. I think if it was one piece (the stripe and guard), it would be better. The shape of the end of the stripe and the shape of the guard aren't very compatible in my opinion.

In any case, my vote would still be clear.
Emailed the place who did my ppf this morning asking the same thing....could the design a slightly diff shaped stone guard that would flow from the stripe. Could be cool. Ill post back.

Crest should always point to the valve stem. Not just a Porsche thing, I've done it with BMW's and Volvo's as well.
100% agree with you. found the article I was referencing. interestingly- while the article says point to wheel lock (which should be installed closest to valve stem) and then if no wheel lock point to valve- one of the pics has the crest pointing to valve and the wheel lock was OPPOSITE (which makes more sense to me especially on the S wheel since you can’t point crest to wheel lock AND valve at the same time).

I have my doubts about installing wheel locks on the same side of the valves, for me it should be on the opposite side to compensate the weight of the valve in centrifugal force. Tires manufacturers trying to avoid vibrations build tires with a yellow mark indicating the lightest point and must align with the valve stem on the rim, which represents the heaviest point on the wheel assembly. so, wheel locks are heavier than normal bolts and interfere with the balance!
Maybe I'm too exaggerated , but I think 8 grams (0.21 Oz) is too much of a difference.
I always get rid of wheel locks.
following are Porsche Bolts and wheel locks with same length:

One of those day where it rains. The roads are are greasy, fun, and have steam coming off of them as the sun comes out. No bikers or joggers and no traffic. Hard to beat.
