Connectors ordered-light bar came in...will try to make this fit my carerra t narrow body in a few weeks-wish me luck (yes, I know it will require modification to the bumper).

Although it looks wider than the distance between the lights, it’s actually not.

Patiently awaiting a good deal on a 4s/gts .2 rear bumper I can cut up. This way I don’t mess with my oem bumper.

Not quite. That’s for a turbo s-I want a gts/c4 bumper with sport exhaust so that it has the recess for the center lamp already. This way I only have to modify the fitment on the sides.

IF you don't mind me asking, how much is rough cost of project and how long did it take to get job done after you have all your parts?

I can confirm that the wiring mods described here did NOT work on the 991.1 center lamp but does on the 991.2. I have a set of clear 991.1 tails and tried to power it up-my guess is the 991.1 uses a different voltage...

There must be a way to get it to work. I have a light bar, so I will have to take some time an do a little sleuthing. I see no reason why it would not work on a 991.1. It's the same part as far as I know, so it is just a matter of getting the wiring right.

I agree-I tried all different combinations of wiring and confirmed that none made it work. My guess is the voltage is different (maybe 5v instead of 12v for example)
