Evening at the local Porsche dealer this past Thursday. Lots of GT3s, GT3RS’s, a Carrera GT, and other great machinery. Also saw my 95 993, sold in 2018 and now owned by a work acquaintance, for the first time in 4 years. Oh….and of course my humble T. I have the perfect 911 for my use and needs.

Count me in as a “T Lifer” also!
Bought mine new off a dealer lot in November 2018 and have loved every mile. Kept the car completely stock and now have around 18k miles on the odometer. IMO, the car is definitely the Swiss Army Knife of 911s!

Just thought I would share
I have enjoyed many stories on this thread. I ordered my T in May of 2018 and picked it up in August 2018. The car stayed mostly stock except for akrapovic cats and a BMC filter. But once you start it’s hard to quit. The following year I installed the necessary front suspension parts to set it up for the track (wow what a difference that makes). Then the following year I installed the full brake system from Essex, those are a game changer on the track. This year I installed the light weight OZ wheels and purchased the ceramic coated vector header set. Now I am just debating the KO4 turbos and installing the headers with a Cobb or APR tune. It is going to change the car I am sure in a great way performance wise, but I am also going to cross the originality line as well. Right now I can easily put the car back to stock. However the performance and track ability upgrade would be night and day I am sure.

^^^ Go for it! I have heavily modded my T, and we’re much less into modifications here in the UK, compared to you guys in North America!

Nilt Be careful going too far on the "track ready" mods. First of all, what is really the point? There will always be somebody faster and I have seen too many people pour money into their cars that they could be spending on their driver skill development and ending up with a car that is unpleasant on the street. Also, as the owner of a modded '18 Miami Blue T, one of my criteria is "wife acceptability" which is code for maintaining good everyday usability. Thusly, my mods are biased toward weight loss (120 lbs. so far) but not going to get rid of A/C. Full disclosure, at some point, apparently being a bit of a hypocrite, I am strongly considering the Softronic tune. :-)

Nilt, do whatever makes you happy with your T and don’t worry about originality if that’s not your intended use. These cars are a blast. That being said, supercroc’s methodology to me best aligns with the T…reduce the weight with a slight bump in power. Part of the “street” fun for me is those smaller turbos without the absurd amount of power found in the GTS. That being said, mine is still sitting in bone stock form because my current usage does not need/want more. Again, do whatever makes you happy with your T!
