Ride height was lowered, using KW springs. 20mm lower at the front and 10mm lower at the rear.

Default Question GT3 Touring 2018

Greetings. Does anyone have production figures for the 911 GT3 Touring Edition ( 6 Speed/Clutch) were delivered to North America for the year 2018 model?

From another posting: "Again at least for 2018 I don't see any way there would be any more than 350 T's made, and that is being overly generous with the numbers, and assumes ALL C2/C4 VINs go to T's and no more base Carreras are produced for the rest of the model year."

Any sense if this is accurate?

are you posting here because you think a Carrera T is the same as a GT3 Touring? This is a Carrera T owner’s thread. Maybe try starting a new post for your question, or use the search bar.

Yeah, you need to go hang out with the 991 GT / GT3 car folks (almost said “snobs”, but I didn’t… ‘coz I know there are a lot of GT3’ers here in the T world. And I would have a GT3 Touring Edition if I could.) https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...-and-911r-229/

I think maybe he's trying to see if the Carrera T is rarer than the GT3 Touring in that specific MY?

I don't think it's really worth it to compare the two. The GT3T is significantly more challenging to acquire both then and now, and goes for a much higher premium. So it wins there.

It's also a fantastic car with an incredible engine ... the Carrera T is great but it would be foolish to compare them from an engineering or raw driving enjoyment point of view.

However, if I owned one, I would not drive it nearly as much as my Carrera T because I'd be paranoid about its value. Some of those incredible "spur of the moment" drives out onto a new backroad, where you're not sure about how bumpy it is or what the conditions are, they just wouldn't happen.

So, if I were going to score points, about the only place I could do it would be to try to find out an average mileage comparison between the two (with higher being better of course ) and/or how many flippers it has passed through (lower being better)!

If I didn’t have enough wealth to buy a car and enjoy it without worrying about value loss then I probably couldn’t afford the car in the first place. I buy my cars to enjoy, the depreciation and lost opportunity cost of ownership is just the price to pay for smiles per mile 😊

1000% if you have to worry about miles or "value" then you can't afford the car...

Well, my Carrera T is at very nearly 39,000 miles! So a high score there, and I’d be stunned if any GT3 Touring is anywhere near that mileage (apart from Chris Harris’ at 50,000). And my T has had only one owner since new = me! So, do I win?
