Default 992 sport classic and T

What do you think about sport classic coming? And how it reflects T values. I would suspect that Ts are coming even more desirable and holding their values well.

Hey Peter,
Your deck lid (or bonnet if your from the UK) is open
Q: Are the stickers on the front fender applied over PPF ?
If so how do you remove them ? with or without a heat gun ?

Thanks Bill

Very different animal to the T. From £209,540 in the UK and based on the Turbo. Only 1,250 being sold worldwide. Will no doubt be bought by VIP customers, investors and flippers. Probably none used as a daily driver. (Maybe around $263,450?)

Agree completely, it’s like comparing a R with a T. Porsche will “lose money” on each one due to the R&D required to make the Sport Classic but at least they will be able to sell the parts (Ducktail) with the Porsche tax to people that want it on their 992. Again wish we could stay away from value proposition with the T…it’s a drivers car, not a museum piece. I guess when I’m long gone the T will be considered a treasure, of course so will a base 996 🤣 with an AT. The discussion of the Sport Classic just makes me want to drive my T more like You Wing Commander!

Cheers, Alc. I may have said before, but I like the idea of being one of those ‘old guys’ who have driven their 911 regularly since new & clocked up 250,000+ miles!

Man I’d love to get that ducktail on my T. I surprised there isn’t a 3rd party version of it yet.

It’s because of the integration of cooling/intercooler ducts below the spoiler, so proper airflow from the spoiler activating is essential to cooling the engine. The Sport Classic is based on the Turbo, which has inlets in front of the rear wheels.

Except they’ve remove the inlets.

so on the SC just like the 992 Carrera you have both intercoolers and inlets fed from the inlet at the base of the ducktail

Nice, I should probably have looked at the SC more closely. If the engineers at Porsche made it then it probably works right!

they also have the “side” intakes relocated to below the car, that helps offset what’s lost from the rear quarter ones.
