P.S. Looks like Pete edited his original thread/review. I expect you'll need to get 000 issue 006 to access it now.

P.P.S. There have been so many great video reviews of the Carrera T. Some of them are in the list posted above but there are many others now. One day, if I find the time, I'll collect them and post the list.
Probably only for typos, etc. Doubt I removed any content—but there's always going to be more in the magazine.

The scale of and space in 000, with 30-90 page feature stories, allows me to post here with more freedom/less concern about undermining the print piece than I ever had at Exc or Pano. It's just a different experience—so you can consider those Rennlist threads as notes from the road. I do go back to reference them, the difference is they no longer live and die in a notebook that ends up in the back of a drawer.

Based on RL posts looks like less Carrera T's built than GT3 Touring. Not the same car but interesting.

Okay, perhaps I remembered your thread wrong. I thought your first post in the thread had a long, detailed description. It would be great to see you revive the thread with your current thoughts/impressions as I believe you've had more seat time in the Carrera T since your last post there. And I think some of your early impressions have changed/evolved, correct?

Looks that way. And way fewer T's than total GT3's; to me this is the comparison since the GT3 touring is a GT3 with the touring package/wing-delete option and not a separate model. PAG really cranked out the 991.2 GT cars.

No doubt the acountants had a hand in the 991.2 GT car build numbers. What better way to close the multi billion dollar gap of Diesel Gate.

Went back and looked. First post with detailed info is on the first page, a few posts down. First post was a "heads up" for what was to come. Quite a lot of detail flowed from there, and I think all of those first impressions there stand up as such.

Yes my impressions/thoughts have evolved, as even driving my Carrera 7MT to the US press event in Napa and spending a day in the T on roads I know failed to help me truly nail down its dynamic differences. That required having a Carrera handy for back to back driving and more seat time on the right roads than nearly any other test I can think of over 20 years—which required quite an investment on 000's part: 2-3 days and 600-800 miles on the loop, more days in for research, and still more days for writing and editing—plus hiring Larry Chen for top-shelf photography. It wasn't a cheap production. So while I've shared a great deal here on Rennlist freely, I should probably retain some value in 000, too. It is, after all, the day job that allows me to post (hopefully useful) information on RL as freely as I do. There's no other magazine I've worked for (or can think of, for that matter) that would allow me to share as much info as I have on Rennlist of late…as 000 is largely its own thing. All that said, if people revive threads and I can add to them, I probably will.

^^^ Looking forward to setting the time aside to relish 000 Edition 006, especially the Carrera T/base Carrera 991.2 features!

^ Ah, that's the other thing: Don't want to rob that experience from those who step up to buy 000. Could see where it becomes a spoiler. Have thought about that from time to time, and this is a reminder to be careful there.

^^^ Don’t worry, Pete. I won’t give anything away or detract from the joy of others who will no doubt invest in 006!

Anyone with a Carrera T should spend the measly $75 to get issue 006. It's easily worth it.

+1. And in my case the extra $20 to get it shipped to the U.K.

^ Thanks, you two! I sometimes wonder if I should have ordered a T, after all. It was thaaaaat close. Love Brewster Green, but the T is an undeniably attractive package…

Had we done the 000 test before I made my order, it just might've been a T!
