Alex_c - you would think But I started with a really strong config (almost $140k) and am now off about $2500 and considering taking about that much more off again. It's not a $ savings thing, I am just going to get the car exactly how I want it.

BlackOptic - I get that too, but I want a touring car and one that I am going to keep for a very long time, so I am getting the goodies that make me happy. I came to the decision a long time ago that if I really wanted a stripped down race car, I would buy just that and not get it for the road.

In other words, we're all right in our own ways! One of the things that makes Porsches so awesome is the variety.

I know it's not to everyone's taste, but here is what I may have (or may put back in the metal sunroof)http://www.porsche-code.com/PKVZWWP0

It's your money and your car - build it like you want it and after the first 1000 miles, drive it like you stole it!

Too funny...that might be a bit extreme :-)

Then again, no smoking package on my T

So you have a dust collector instead? Honestly, I wish there was an in-between option which was just the hinged cover, but nothing under. Or, make it big enough to be useful.

It fits my house key pretty well - but yeah, not much else.

It’s nice to here someone like edmunds do a review on the car and basically say everything that I surmised about the car when I made my decision to buy it. Kinda validates the decision. Honestly though I was liking all the bad press about the car just being a marketing scheme because less people will buy them. Making those of us who do, come out a little better on the back end. It will be interesting to see just how many end up being sold. I know from my own research a lot of the dealerships are not ordering manuals because they seem to have difficulty selling them. (That’s what my dealer told me anyway) so I think 5 or 10 years down the road the few cars that are specced out as Porsche intended (manual trans) will be hard to find and hold a better value. Just my thoughts on the car. I went for the full gambit. Lwbs, RAS, 7MT, LCA, Sport steering plu, PCCB,
Build code PKYUF6A0
i added pccb, and leather after the fact at the dealer.
I'm right there with you. I had to have backseats, otherwise I would've gotten the LWB too.

Yeah I still go back and forth on the LWBS vs 4 way seats. I really like the look and feel of the sport Tex seats in the T. I guess the deciding factor for me was my Cayman. It doesn’t have back seats and that has never been an issue for me. (I don’t daily drive my Porsche, I have a Tacoma for daily duty) i really like the LWBS and wished I had them in my Cayman but trying to get them after the fact is crazy expensive. 5g option is 30g mod after purchase. I figure if the time comes that I want to switch out in the future the standard seats will be way cheaper to buy. At the end of the day I really enjoy the full sporty driving experience. I also was really attracted to the T because of the options that you could have with this model that you just can’t get on a Porsche unless you step up to a GT CAR. So it only made sense to me to get all the super sporty options that make the car special to me. Like others have stated there all great. Each of us chooses options based on our personal tastes and driving habits. I think that’s what makes Porsche’s unique. It’s actually hard to find two that are alike and almost impossible to find one used that meets all your wants and desires. YOLO. order it the
way you want it and drive it like you hate it and you will walk away from it with a smile every time.

Recent "drive" with the T.

Ran time attack and advanced/instructor group at GridLife South held at Road Atlanta a couple weeks ago. The T held up great for a completely OEM car! No changes made other than air pressure lol! Not bad for a non-GT car

Looking through a lot of those FS listings many are marked automatic, but pictures show it to be a manual.
