Well, if you can get your Sales person to tell you when it will get loaded... here is the link to find out which ship departure date/and ship name you’ll be on.

The PWL Group
Click the British Flag in the top Right to convert to English
Under the section of Liner Schedules
Select US West and East Coast from the first drop down
Select Volkswagen Kinzernlogistik Export from the second drop down
A PDF file should be downloaded, open it.

Then... to track the voyage across the ocean (at least you’ll only know when it is close to land)...

Default 2018 C2 vs T

I just picked up my ordered C2 manual three months ago in Canada, now I have T on order that will arrive early next year ( not a large allotment in Canada)
am i crazy to swap cars a year later for essentially the same car?
my salesman told me the T will be collectable and worth getting, but this is a daily driver for me, I’m not saving it!
Is it worth it?..

Hmmm... C2 Manual to a T Manual? As much as I love my T, that seems nuts. But then again, I just got stung pretty back selling back a car after less than a year. Even though the actual numbers of T’s seem pretty low. And, pretty unique - if they don’t build a T 992... None of us here are under any illusion that the T will command a ‘collectable’ price premium. (But, we all secretly hope that would be the case.)

Many of us, however, have decided that this is a car to drive. Not just collect.

Anyone have an idea on when it will leave Emden and should arrive at Davisville?

Once it arrives and I have some seat time I will decide if I am keeping the 987.2 Spyder .....
my car was v300 on 4/20. I’m hoping it made the 4/24 ship. Please let me know if you hear anything. I haven’t.

In Canada, Porsche’s are hard to come by, I waited almost a year for my manual C2, and from what I have seen they hold value better than most, my dealer offered, when I ordered the T ,to get me out of my 2018 lease without me paying, although I would have lost the year in payments.
The T in Canada is about $125000, close to the S in price, I paid $117000 for mine so this is no base car!
Looks like I will have a good 7 months to decide.
As a lot of you daily drive the T how is the ride and ground clearance with the 10 mm further drop, and with the manual are you shifting more?
I have lots of city driving to think about.
thanks for your input

Yes, you are crazy. But apparently so am I. I've got a deal in place to sell my '17 base manual and signed the agreement to get a T this week. If all goes well the car will be here late this Summer. I've lost my mind.

That looks stunning in Miami, especially with the PCCBs! Nice!

There is talk today on the Porsche Club of Great Britain forum, that in the UK at least, one can no longer order a new T. So it's a case of picking from a handful of delivery mileage Ts at Porsche Centres in the UK.

Thanks - Miami seems to be a bit of a Marmite colour.

Regarding the question about SPASM lowering and possible scraping, I’ve had zero issues so far (700 miles to date). Scraping is much more of an issue with my X73 Cayman. The CT is not terribly low.

As you know I got my T on weds 25th April. I have completed about 50 miles since then. Half dual carriageway and half back roads. This car is pure fun! It pops , bangs, whistles and drives like a go cart. The gear box is super slick contrary to any negative feedback I have heard. I am lucky to own a few cars including a 04 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale and this car is likes Porsche’s version of that . I love it !

Whilst writing about numbers. My dealer said total uk allocation is circa 100 units - that’s it - finished .

If you’ve committed to one - well done - you will love it. If not get one quick before they all go!

I've clocked up just over 1,000 miles in mine so far and am loving it!

Only 100 Ts for the UK?! Wow! We are lucky then!

I guess that that sort of fits in with numbers of maybe around 1,000 for Carrera Ts worldwide...
