My est delivery is like 12/17. I put the deposit down today and was told my build locks in Friday. I see that your est delivery is feb. how does that work between dealers and Porsche?

Dealers have allocations and each allocation has estimated dates, factory calendar is pre-build and as far as P is concerned all cars are sold and to be build. Dealers look for customers for custom orders, if they cannot find a customer in time for a given allocation then they have to order thet car anyway. Which they do with minimum options or most desirable options and put it on the showroom floor. They can also trade allocations with other dealers.

i asked for the latest available allocation as I am not in a hurry. But the wait is painful any ways.

i put the order in 9/10, 10 days later I got v200 and dates.
My build locks in 11/30, goes into production 12/14
i expect P to push dates left and expect delivery is January. Not ideal but I am committed now.

and excited for the new baby..

I saw another recent post with folks being amazed by the good mpg for the 991.2. Obviously, 7th gear is key. (I have to remind myself to get out of 5th on the hwy.) But the advice was to use ‘normal’ PASM setting (as opposed to Sport or Sport+ or Individual) and to make sure all lights were out on the console.

Rennolazine, do you use 7th, and all lights off?

In my prior 991 I used 7th gear a lot and was amazed at the great fuel economy; I don't see how my upcoming 911T will be any different. Plus when you need the power simply grab another gear! VROOOM. hahaha

Tire choice is determined by what Porsche has in stock when your car is built. They have a number of tire suppliers but 911s are being fitted with either Michelins of Pirellis. You have NO choice in the matter. Porsche will use whatever's at hand.
