The buckets allow the use of six point harnesses and HANS devices. Otherwise you will have to swap out the OEM seats and replace with racing seats, typically resulting in an airbag light. The T with LWBs is almost track ready (Still needs a harness bar and a few brake upgrades.)

If the dealer has an allocation it will be for a 911T specifically so no worries. The dealer puts your name on the allocation, you configure it, the dealer submits it, and you are set and good to go. You will get to V200 status (date set) very quickly. If they don’t have an allocation, well all you have is a name on a piece of paper in a drawer somewhere. I would call and see if they have an actual allocation yet. Anyone have a confirmed build date and allocation yet?
how do you you know if the dealer had allocation? I configured a T at a local dealership. Got -$3K off price. Signed something and put down $5K.
been told in by end of feb my order will be “locked”...
asked about cxx order of RS spyder wheels or even just the standard 20inch in regular silver and was told it’d be around 4-5K
also told vin won’t exist till assembly is done..

You should be given a commission number which will confirm you have an allocation. It will be a neat print out with your name and V200 (or higher) for delivery date determined. Given the February lock (PS cars will lock early so get final specs in now) I doubt the dealer is pulling any games. Correct, VIN does not exist until it is produced.
Just buy some used wheels if you dont like the grey or black choices on the T. The sport whatever five spikes are a cheaper option on the T than anything else and I think they look good.
PS post your build code from the configurator as we all like looking at them. :-)

The broad strokes - PDK, RAS and no PCCB are set ... but ive changed other minor options in just the past 4 days ...![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Th only one i'm chocked about is no LWB ... per my wife .... who green lit this "small" expense
Are heated seats worth it?
Are the seatbacks in leather overkill? will it add to much weight. Or would it be cheaper to get the seatbacks wrapped in matte black?

You are going to be waiting a long time. The reason that it will not happen is that the 992 is now right around the corner. If we had another year of the 991.2, then perhaps they would make some changes to the color options for the next model year. It's not going to happen. The 911T is one of the last hurrahs!

My T is a month ahead of schedule. Getting to Port of Houston 2/09 and I was originally due on 3/09. They won't give me a firm delivery date at the LA Porsche Center because the "T" hasn't been DOT certified yet. Just playing the waiting game.
