Former Vendor
@BMS Thanks Brother! How is the tuning coming along with your build?
They're doing the fire suppression system and roll cage right now, which is almost done.
Your motor is super clean, ready to make some power!!

Update.
I relayed to my buddy that I wanted to be involved as much as possible in the rebuild process and he acquiesced. We worked a bit on the PDK and removed the factory LSD for the installation of the Wavetrac. Not for the neophyte mechanic. We had to fill in two hydraulic galleys and remove some hardware from the differential cover. We still have to remove the old bearings to put on the Wavetrac since there are no part numbers for these bearings. We should have it finished by tomorrow. Thanks to Bill at Bill Rader Motorsports for providing guidance on a Sunday.
Also, the IPD plenum came back from Cerakote. We liked the test color and will send it back once we weld on the blow-off valves. Our Cerakote guy said he should have the wheels completed by this week. We also decided to order around 60+ engine seals and gaskets to decrease the likelihood of any failure points.
Shout out to my good buddy Ralfy, owner of Culmination Motorsports, and the techs (e.g., Ian, Robby) who are firing on all cylinders to finish this project!

Checking in to see if anyone subscribed to this thread has a pair of 991.1 turbocharger oil reservoirs they could sell me. I accidentally sent mine to the buyer who purchased my rebuilt 68mm turbochargers . A big event is next Saturday and we are trying to have the car completed by then so I am willing to pay for express shipping too. Thanks!

Update.
Decided to purchase new reservoirs and hardware. The parts should arrive today.
Last week we used the end mill to remove the old bearings from the OEM LSD. That was a chore but fun learning how to use the mill. We successfully removed the bearings, pressed them onto the WaveTrac, and installed the WaveTrac into the PDK.
We have been working on piecing together this puzzle for the last week and a half. We probably could have expedited the process but we decided to replace all the gaskets and seals (this was tedious and time-consuming waiting for parts to arrive) and a few other parts (i.e., water pump, belt tensioner, etc.). Additionally, time constraints are an issue as I am only able to devote about three hours a day since I typically see patients all day and my buddy has to attend to administrative duties and supervise at his shop during regular hours. Long nights, sigh. Shout out to @SamboTT@ByDesign for being available during late nights to answer our inquiries. Do you even sleep Sam?!
Last night we mocked up all the parts so we have a better idea of how everything will be oriented once we install the engine back in the car. Took some time routing all the boost reference hoses to hide them as much as we could. This morning the IPD plenum will be sent back to re-Cerakote now that the blow-off valves are welded in. Closer and closer...

Update.
The engine is in the car. We are triple-checking all the connections/fittings to ensure it is ready for the first start. We drained the fluids from the PDK and differential and refilled them. That Dodson billet sump is a work of art! Once we finish up with the boost controller wiring, we will fill it with fresh oil and coolant and start it up. We removed the valence on the rear bumper to showcase the bevy of components that make up the ByDesign XR kit (we'll clean the cuts later). It was worth it to drop the coin on the Kline exhaust (still needs some adjustments so it doesn't stick out as much). After the car is running we will install the factory aero pieces, the H&R drop springs, and the ANRKY wheels. Exciting!!!
Thankfully, the race event that was scheduled for July 16 was postponed to August 27 due to inclement weather. Thus, we have time to dyno the Porsche and ensure she runs optimally.

@2fcknfst Thanks brother!!
@vman932 Good eye. You are correct. We mocked up the old lines that run from the oil pan to the turbocharger reservoir and discovered that the wastegate discharges where the old line is rubber. The new line that is provided in the ByDesign XR kit is reinforced in those areas. How the new oil line flanges are oriented requires quite a bit of manipulation to align. Thankfully, once the lines are aligned and bolted in, they can be bent relatively easily, which is what we will do.

Update.
The PDK issue was resolved (hydraulic gear drive for the PDK pump sheared). Shout out to @SamboTT@ByDesign for sourcing the gear locally. The car is running strong at 18 psi of boost. Once the weather clears up, we will start data logging for methanol and race gas. So far, the car performs flawlessly.
