I am absolutely NOT a competitor as I have never done and will not do retail. All I wanted to do was to help.

yeah he’s been around for a while including the 996 turbo boards
I would not be annoyed by his comments
as they have ALWAYS been helpful

Would anyone like me to post a few of the carbon fiber pieces that I have recently put on IG as an example of what the vents (which are far simpler parts to make) should look like? Alternatively, if it's easier, my IG is robertlinton1.

And, btw, I think that the last time I posted on the 996 Board was 2005, perhaps because I was doing all of the carbon fiber induction systems and carbon fiber oil tanks (and other things) for PAG for the 996 RSRs around the world.

No.

We need to get back to the original intent of the Group Purchase.

@Carbonlution when do you project that the replacement parts will ship to the first three buyers on the list ?

Speak for yourself.

I'd like to see them. Perhaps a new thread would be a good idea?

Per Redlinerobert's suggestion, I posted a few pictures from my new non-commercial Instagram (robertlinton1) in a new thread entitled "A few examples of good carbon fiber parts".

Carbonlution you should see Mr Linton's other thread for inspiration - quite an eye opener and difference but this is the level of quality you should be aiming for - minimum OEM or better

DB Carbon is very expensive compared to what you all paid. But I've never had any issue with quality of finish or fit. Fit was always perfect. Cost is much higher but "you get what you pay for" might apply.
I hope they fix it for you all. It's a nice addition to our cars.
Also a nice add.

The GP started April 20.

I paid in full June 1

It’s now July 4

I need an update from @Carbonlution ASAP on when to expect a correct part or I’m sending these back and will request a charge back through PayPall/Visa and will go to Plan B.

Update:
We have fixed curvature of the driver side vent and guys who have received the defected item will get the replacement to send out this upcoming week, and for everyone else that is still waiting, we apologize about the timing which took us longer than expected due to the driver vent issue, and if you cannot wait any longer we are more than happy to refund any deposit that you have made.
The next batch will be postponed to a week after.
