Thank you for addressing the issue Carbonlution.

In regards to Robert Linton, I don't find his remarks snooty at all. He is obviously quite knowledgeable in this area so his insight I for one find valuable. We may not all agree with it, but so what?

The group buy ended 5/15/20.
I’m sure Carbonlution is super busy right now, fulfilling the orders for the GB.
Give them some time, they’ll get back to you.

I'm looking forward to putting these on the car. They're going to look great guys. I'd even send the ones with white spots of resin back too. Only way the manufacturer will understand and then improve the product. I'd like to see the first five customers 100% happy before buying though. More pics pls when installed

looking at these pictures again, did the passenger side gap remain after you glued them?

Have you installed these yet? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

No I haven’t installed these yet. I mocked them up and there is a gap making it not sit flush as others have stated! I’ve contacted carbonlution and they said they are working on the new ones and will get in touch once they are ready! So I’m waiting on that!

Thanks for your reply. Did your passenger side vent appear to have a gap too?

I just tested the driver side because that’s what people were having problem with. I want to try to and refrain from pulling the stock ones out as many times as possible to not accidentally break clips.

Though you do not seem to want my comments, they are meant to help, particularly as the vendor promised a first rate part, not a second rate job because people paid a "special" price. In any event, gluing does not make an ill fitting part fit properly - and could cause other issues, particularly if using the incorrect bonding agent for carbon fiber. Nor, does glue or anything else remediate the resin rich pockets or the poorly laid up material. Instead of trying band aides, why not ask the 'enthusiastic' vendor to redo both sides to the standard that you saw and expected, i.e., at least as good as the factory part. Finally, btw, how do the B Sides of each vent look?

No dog in this fight but for those that don’t know Robert Linden is a legend in the Porsche aftermarket world producing some of if not the best upgrades ever done including carbon fiber. You might not agree with him but he has encyclopedic knowledge of these issues. I fear however he is an absolute perfectionist. I can readily understand but some can’t. Lol

Hmmm...never heard of him. So he is a competitor for these parts?
