Somebody correct me if I’m wrong lol...but my understanding was that if you don’t tune your car for race fuel it’s kind of a waste of money...because it allows you to push the timing because there will be less knock...but if it’s tuned to run 91 octane then the timing isn’t pushed, and the car won’t run harder on the higher octane???
race fuel let’s you run the d fine more aggressively because it has less knock...but you have to tune a more aggressive profile.
maybe I’m wrong?
You’re correct. The car needs 91 octane minimum and can exploit up to 93 octane fuel in stock tune. Past 93 is a waste unless you’re tuned. I can’t get 93 off the pump in my area so 2.8 gallons of 104 to a tank.
All true and this car is not your regular garden variety...very far from it
right on 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
you car looks great by the way.
I think this weekend I’m going to order the DSC V3 suspension module, and IPE Exhaust, BMC filter, and the Antigravity Battery...by my calculations that should add about 45 more HP and reduce weight by 87 lbs.

car goes in for service Monday..should I replace the Eibachs with Techarts ( in my possession) for that extra drop ?..it rides so well right now and turns so flat with the low profile rubber..I’m scared to make it any rougher than it is..not that it is too rough now..it’s so good now do I risk it for that little better look ?

Not sure you can improve on the look... The stance is so nice.

I have the Techart...I went with them for two reasons...the H&R would probably be too low with my tires...and the Techart stuff is usually certified by Porsche in a way that you can use it without voiding any warranties...meaning they are pretty closely aligned with Porsche, which means they took into account the ride quality and ability to get the alignment in the right range etc
The springs were said to not reduce ride quality.
After running them for a couple months now in all conditions I can vouch for that...the ride is not noticeably harsher...at all...marginally better handling...so you get lowering without much difference in handling or ride quality.
Im told they aren’t nearly as harsh as H&R
I like em

No doubt the Techarts are a great spring but I sometimes think the H&Rs get a bad rap. I’ve had Eibachs, KW, K Sports on different cars and enjoyed them. I went from a stock sprung 991.1 C2S with 20” Forgelines to a used 991.1TTS that already had H&Rs with 21” Champions. I had both cars for a while and did some critical comparisons and I found the ride to be about the same. I really don’t find H&Rs harsh and living with the lowered car isn’t difficult at all. The H&Rs were low enough that I couldn’t get the suspension in spec so installed some adjustable rear lower control arms rear and eccentric bushings up front and have been happy as a clam since. I am looking forward to the arrival of a DSC controller though as the car feels “unsettled” with mid corner power changes but all in all I’m pleased with the H&Rs.

I was able to get a nearly perfect alignment setup for Sport Cup 2’s and these cars with the Techart Springs, and it doesn’t feel unsettled or more highly sprung anywhere, the only real difference in handling at all is the improvement of using about 2.0 camber instead of the stock 1.5 ish alignment and a lower center of gravity with the Techart.
I think the Techart are a bit more Plug & Play than H&R....but...the H&R lower about a quarter inch more than the Techart...so that’s the trade off...do you wanna go lower than the Techart but then have to give up some handling or do extra work to get it back to right...or do you want to lower a little less than H&R but have ride quality stay similar to stock but marginally improved handling.
the Techart have a slightly less aggressive spring rate too...but that’s fine for me as I think the cars stay pretty flat already, and if I want even less body roll I’ll do that via stiffer sway bars instead of livelier springs which, can make the car feel a bit unsettled on bumpier public roads.
i bought this car in part because I got suspension tuning fatigue with previous cars where I just kept getting more and more complicated and customizable setups, and then I became so lost in tweeking snd tweeking that I didn’t even really enjoy the car anymore....I don’t wanna go down that rabbit hole again with the TTS....so I’m keeping it simple...stickier rubber, good alignment, slightly lower center of gravity but not so much that I have to chase getting the ride quality back, and next I’ll probably slightly improve the dampening profile with the DSC V3 module....and that’s it.
ive learned the hard way that FOR ME...it’s just silly to keep chasing that perfect suspension instead of enjoying the car.
Perfect is definitely the enemy of the very VERY good with regards to handling and suspension on a mostly street driven car.
For reference that’s my ride height with Techarts and 325/30/20 rears and 265/35/20 fronts.

Yes.. I'll bet yours is super fun will out handle my car with the Techarts and setup. Being lowered a bit more I had too much negative camber and just couldn't quite hit the green on the rears and barely on the front so I just fixed it. The previous owner/owners of my car had just lived with it but I'm kind of particular. I use my cars a lot as long range missiles (8-10k miles a year) to travel to Vegas to visit my daughter, Arizona, Cali and such (hence some pretty impressive speeding tickets) so a less aggressive setup for a bit more tire life is my strategy...
