Wonder how much it'd cost to get them painted and if they'd match well.
Probably not worth it, imho. I would guesstimate at least $1500 to paint them. I painted my aero side skirts on my 996 and the materials alone, PPG paint, clear coat and prep materials were over $200 10 years ago. I would opt to go with CF side skirts, as the cost would be about the same.

Yeah, If I had them painted, I'd have to weight a month and then have them PPF'd to protect them.

CF might be an option.... I like my car as is though, so I don't see myself spending the money on it right now...

I'd rather by more Gas and DRIVE it more

BTW, love having the SS1LE too these days because it's only "Premium Recommended" and runs perfect on 87.... WAY cheaper to run for long drives..

I had the CF ones PPF’d before I installed them. They do take some abuse from small rocks kicked up. So far the PPF has protected them completely.

I played with some vinyl GT2RS-inspired stripes on my 996 Turbo this season...

Did you open the NACA ducts? Did you get the double sided or single sided CF hood?

Yours looks great with the white stripe.

Hi

no, the ducts are closed

it is single sided, but I should have gotten the double sided one

in any event, be aware that the lid is not perfect. Meaning maybe warped. It really bothers me. It is off by maybe 5 mm on the drivers side all the way in the front. The front edge on the passenger side is maybe 3 mm lower than the inner edge of the front end of the front fender

Yes, that would definitely bother me also. Since you've already painted, I assume returning it is not an option. Can a body shop straighten the fitment?

Default Traded it.

I traded it in on a 2024 Carrera GTS. I know many will consider this a downgrade but I’m super happy with my choice.

Not a 'downgrade.' Just a 'different' great model.
