What did you do to your 991 turbo today?

Weird how so many different exhaust sound so different on these cars.
-
- Stock with OE cats (Way too quiet)
- Stock with cat bypass (Actually really good, but wanted a bit more tone and a bit less weight)
- Sharkwerks with OE cats (Terrible. These evidently sound great on GT3's, but it was an instant NO on the Turbo)
- Sharkwerks with cat bypass (Everything above, just louder and even worse))
- Soul with OE cats (Good, but wanted more tone/volume)
- Soul with cat bypass (Great on throttle, obnoxious bangs on throttle lift. See below)
- Kline with 100 cell cats (Very good, but wanted more tone/volume and proprietary cat design didn't allow my cat bypass to be used)
I finalized on the Soul with cat bypass... For me, perfect after having Sam tune out the throttle-lift pops as they were way too obnoxious. Glorious on throttle in the canyons, not too obnoxious in the neighborhood, definitely louder than stock but no drone on the highway.
But these things are really personal... I've heard plenty of exhausts that others thought were great and would be a hard no for me, and I'm sure some would not like what I settled on. Videos are also not a great way to choose, as the recordings don't often accurately represent how they actually sound in person.

I tried many different exhaust permutations on my 991 Turbo before getting what I wanted...

Yes, I miss the Cobb PDK tune more than anything else. Love the shift points with the Cobb. May have to hold on to that..

Yep
I never had a problem with the OEM exhaust - no objections to sound or volume. The *only* reason I switched to Kline was to keep the pace with all the other mods - I didn't want the OEM exhaust to become the bottleneck to performance. It helps that I like the Kline sound more than any others, but the change in sound was not important to me. Just another example of how personal preferences are so varied when it comes to exhaust sound on this platform.

Went to a really cool event yesterday one of our local Indy's put on. Similar to the "Luft" events from what I was told.
My neighbor (Matt...member here) displayed his Porsche Cup 992 car. The "MYSTERY MACHINE" from Scooby!! Star of the show.
Went for a drive afterwards!! What a great day!!
