An unexpected gift, as it were.

Yes, I was there on Sunday and met @911dude41 as well as @BMS. The weather was perfect and a relatively light crowd in the morning so very little waiting to run.

Thanks Sam, the car ran great up until that point! Now I need to decide if I just want to slap a new y-pipe on or just pull the trigger on some 68's.

I think I still have a couple spare factory ones if that’ll get you through, whatever I can do to help.

Been there / done that with the Y-pipe thing.
Sam hooked me up with another stocker and I tried to reinforce it with JB weld.
So far so good, but I'm only on a tune / exhaust, but held up so several runs at the track in Atlanta Summer heat.

Porsche kind of has a "thing" about exploding airboxes and intake pipes, don't they? Been a problem since air cooled cars, even if it skips an occasional generation...

Even for N.A. Porsches? I skipped everything between the 928 and the 9[98]1.

928s don’t blow up anything between the outside and the throttle plate until you add boost (which isn’t easy since there’s no factory starting point with boost.)

It seems that exploding y-pipes on the 991.x are only a ‘thing’ for those boosting above stock levels? Or not?

Participated in a Toy Drive as a member of Phxdriven Super Car club. That is me on the far left.
The McLaren Senna on the right was just delivered this week!

I've heard that poof so many times. Thankfully never a Y pipe. Mainly intercooler/hot side hoses.

How long ago did you swap your side markers again?
