Some of us drive ever Sunday morning early. PM if you are around and feel like joining. Usually an interesting x-section of cars. From EVO's to GT's and most everything in between.
Who likes Evo’s? I had one for a while. Wish I still had it as I bought new. Do-Luck goodies from Bulletproof.... endless smiles!
msg then TC Garden off hearst. the proprietor may have died from high blood pressure but until then msg is so good
cheeseboard pizza not sure what these are, eating them only to appease the wife...
Ah, it's been too long since I last went to La Note and I'll have to try sabuy sabuy.
My Ph.D. advisor lived on TC Garden's cuisine for several years when he was a graduate student.
I'm resident EVO but I think. I purchased a BBY for my wife when they first came out and was blown away by it. I had an STi at the time and stole it any chance I got. 2 years in, wife wanted a little more luxury so I bought her something else and I took EVO and modded it for track. Car had every bolt imageable and Muellerized Motons. One of the best cars I've ever owned.
Cut to last year and wanted one again. Searched all over for a clean car only to find 90% are beat to $hit. Found a truly clean GSR up here even though I wanted an MR and bought it. Car is as fun as I remember and crazy on weekend drives. Modded it with light bolt ons and runs e85. Even though not making big numbers, the torque is violent and laugh inducing (ask SSTHO).
I've always found them pretty bullet proof. I put about 80k+ street and track miles on my last one and it was solid. Currently searching (unsuccessfully) for my unicorn: a clean low-ish miles red MR. Pic of my car after detailing with mooty magic fluids last weekend.
EVOs are definitely fun and pretty reliable once you get them sorted. I was finishing college when the CT9A made its appearance, so I had to defer and drive a Civic until I had enough dough to get my first EVO used. Both mine were used and took a bit of sorting but Muellerized and Road Race Engineering are local, so both cars became 2.3L monster daily drivers, and so fun on the track. As a side note, My silver one is now Roy Navarez's Hulk EVO after I was rear ended.
I always keep my cars looking stock, so the bright green and all that is not for me but it is cool to see that my silver one has gone full retard and my black one is still relatively clean even after an unfortunate meeting between a deer and the current owner.
Sadly, the only time I was on Speedhunters: http://www.speedhunters.com/2014/02/...e-engineering/
Mine is the hatchback in the back corner after a 17 year old girl texting me drove into the back of my car on the 210 at Hill while I was stopped. CHP estimated her speed at over 70. Now I am a 45 year old with the back of a 70 year old.

Like a lot of you guys, I was definitely running NOS in my B13 SE-R from about 1994-2000. 85 shot, throttle controlled, car did not mind it one bit. 2000, I went to UCLA and sold 2 of my cars to help fund the move and cost of education. The other car was a 50 chevy coupe. I went down to an EA-T Civic DX Hatch with an 89 Si D-Series swapped in + a bunch of other Si parts to round it out on Tokiko blues and Eibach Springs with the bigger wider 90s steelies. So, when I graduated, I was itching for an EVO for sure, especially after grad school in addition to undergrad!
