Have been doing a version of Paleo for the better part of 4 years now. Works for me and what my needs are.

I am down 40lbs only eating meat. I did start eating pastries, and gained back 10, but then dropped them again.

diets are fascinating.
when I used to actually race MTB, I will hit my race wt by just eating nothing but power bars and milk.
no, not scientific.
I just do it
wt drop really fast

but I am searching for nirvana.
I want chocolate, ice cream, pastry, meat. sushi, carb, and still be healthy and fast..... would someone please help me
ahhh. I am NOT kidding.
I really do like that.

also some are eating for wt reduction some are for muscle development, some for more bedroom performance, whatever flows your boat.
I noticed that I must have giant bones.
I see ppl my size or bigger than me. but I weigh same or more than they do.
my daughter is same. she's a stick, but you pick her back, it's like WTF is inside of u.
when she was a little kid, relatives pick her up and often throw out their back...

then she wold pick up her little brother (who's also heavy) like a piece of paper!!!

well, I need to find chocolate now. oh, it's gotten so bad that when I goto my local FedEx store (which if often) the have a bowl of chocolate just for me!!!

no cycling today.
face had close encounter with pavement.
you know slippery garage floor...

so driving now

oh after knee surgery as soon as I woke up from anesthesia I ask for food.

they gave me one small
jar of yogurt and one fruit bowl. I laughed. I asked “pls bring me 6 yogurts and three fruit bowls”. those were gone before they came back to chk how I felt.

There is a difference between diets used for weight loss and diets designed for energy and performance. The plant based diet fits into the later category although I'm sure that someone would lose weight if they stayed on it long term.

Many (most) have reported significantly improved energy and performance on a carnivore diet. There’s neither scientific nor empirical evidence that going plant based (eliminating animal-based foods) improves energy and performance. Of course, switching from processed junk to actual (whole) foods that are either plant or animal-based (or both) will likely result in improved energy and performance.

I don’t know... seems to me if you eat a **** ton of calories and burn a **** ton of calories +1, weight goes down. And mixing in some strength, for me mostly through core work, jump starts burn whenever you start to plateau/rise. Pedaling happens to have almost no impact as long as it’s done right, and it gets you outside and works the engine.

So, eat 2500 calories, burn 2501 on the bike. All good.

Its so sunny out west. Even if I wanted to go get good food, no way can get it in the RS. For eg I thought about it and pulled the car out, only to find the white stuff on the ground. So back in she goes. Its was still the best minute of the winter!
