Dealers are aloowed to make it capitalism.
But when they gouge over MSRP.
I hold stupid buyers that give in and give them the cash.
NEVER Pay Over MSRP Never.

Absolutely. The dealerships I worked with basically broke even selling cars and made a killing servicing them. Some of them also made huge margins (though smaller total dollars) convincing people to buy overpriced warranties, tire packages, undercoating, scotch guarding, and just about any type of service agreement they could.

True, but it should also be why they should be motivated to be good to their local buyers. I just took my '14 C2S in for it's 2 year service, told them the car was still low mileage, just wanted to do the minimum required, which evidently was an oil change and brake fluid flush. Fine. No estimate. Showed up to pick up my car and the bill was $735. $735!! If you're going to bone me like that for service, you really should be kissing me in the showroom.

service brings a lot of money to dealership
if you sell every car out of town , then the number of GT cars in the area will be less and this means less service

Which is why I told the GM at my local good guy dealer that I won't ever buy a non-GT car from you but you'll get a ton of service business from me as I drive and track all of my GT cars. He seemed to like hearing that but we'll see how it translates to getting a GT3 allocation.

I wouldn't get very far with my dealer on that, as they probably don't give a rat's *** about my service money. They're the most expensive place around and their service bays are typically filled with cars. That said, I'm not going to service my car there anymore unless I buy another new car from them at a fair price.

I got quoted around $2500 for the two year (early) service on my RS... am I getting scammed?

I paid $250 for the oil service. Brake flush should not be more than $100

Depends on how much time you get with the hooker and how hot she is.

Is it a cake walk business? Of course not. What business is??
$10M is a bare minimum, and that's before the real estate.

$100 for brake flush? Is that accounting for parts, labor, taxes, shop supplies, etc?

Dealers oftentimes get subsidies from Porsche for dealership build-outs.

Add $45.33 for brake fluid. Part# 000-043-305-52 and hazardous waste of $7 in CA or you can do it yourself for $45
